For #NationalScienceWeek, I wanted to share my fave technology: the #VR headset! These enable an amazing immersive collaboration that opens up opportunities to go well #BeyondBeingThere 🙌 ❤️ #SuperStarsofSTEM #CSIROSuperStarsofSTEM #ScienceWeek #WomeninScience #ScienceAndTechnologyAustralia #CSIRO

Montage of images with a central focus on a VR headset, with ten different photos showing people in different immersive spaces - giving talks, running conferences, exploring worlds and interacting socially.

This was such a fun chat with @raynerexplainer.bsky.social and Seizure, all about #SAURON! Being able to build SAURON, see it boost our efficiency and constantly make it better has been one of the best parts of overseeing science operations for #ASKAP 👁️📡 Link: australianhighlights.com.au/vanessamoss

And finding the occasional hidden skeleton is a fun bonus! 💀 located this time by @elizabethtasker.bsky.social!

The hidden skeleton from Mount Olympus, just hanging out in a secret location as they are wont to do.

Always enjoy our @futuremeetings.bsky.social adventures into #VR - especially the beautiful worlds of @walkaboutminigolf.bsky.social! By far the biggest advantage of #immersive tech that we've found in #TFOM is the ability to be *together* with others, whether for social or work!

Hi everyone 👋 Planning to get a bit more active on here, looking forward to meeting you and chatting about #astronomy, #VR, #ASKAP, #TFOM, #automation, #scicomm, #remotecollab and more! 🙌 Here's a pic of me contemplating the future of #humanity atop a carbon pillar representing conference travel ✈️

A small figure sits atop a tall pillar of carbon, stretching high into the sky, surrounded by a bleak mountainous wasteland with a blue sky patched with pink clouds above - a virtual representation of the cost of astronomy travel, created by Glen Rees as part of "The Future of Meetings" (TFOM).
