Not to rag on them, but I searched for a company, the only result was a Wikipedia page for the company, not the company website... Then I searched Microsoft... And their site doesn't come up either...

@comicbook.com honest question: do these ads really pay enough to render your site unusable? Because I just left after realizing I couldn't even fit a single screenshot in the space left behind these ads...

Is @slack.com and @discord.com trying to cause an incident? They've both seemed to replace the Flag of Scotland with a flag of something else... Apparently maybe with Seychelles?

I found this on Facebook... I have no way of saying for sure, but this is either @blowdart.me or @sinclairinat0r.com in disguise... My money is on barry.

Does anyone else remember protected browsing mode on Servers? Did you ever think you would long for having it back? Have you launched Edge on Server 2025 recently? Apparently we went from secure by default to AI by default?

It's almost like there's a reason for these pinned messages in the PowerShell discord...
Two discord messages.
First one from Fred says: Whenever you use dynamic parameters, god kills a puppy, a kitten, and a human baby, then founds another teeny heartthrob casting band.
Second one from Cory says: Dynamic Parameters are hell, and they do not belong in sane code.

Not gonna lie, when I search for Lyft and see it is the only app that includes ads, I'm getting one of the other apps. Why would I be paying you money for a service and also being forced ads?

If you're going to have a modified pro police pride flag, at least make it this one I saw on Facebook for a page I almost blocked...

Anyone who insists on calling it a skeet is a skeet: "is used as a stereotype to describe someone who is ignorant, aggressive, and unruly"
Skeet
Newfoundland

The noun skeet in Newfoundland and Labrador English is considered to be a pejorative epithet. Though it has never been formally defined in the Dictionary of Newfoundland English, it is used as a stereotype ...

Anyone know what this is from in an empty editor tab in @vscode.dev? Is this @github.com copilot that I've had disabled for ages? I tried ctrl+i but it didn't do anything (I suspect because of vim bindings...)
Pres 'ctrl' + 'I' to ask to do something. Start typing to dismiss.

This was on Facebook. Doesn't quite sum it up, but it does cover some of it.
I don't mind having to pay taxes when the poor can't.

What upsets me is having to pay taxes when the rich won't.

I saw this on Facebook with the caption "Cursed right triangles" (or something to that effect). I got a chuckle out of it and immediately thought of @standupmaths.bsky.social. It then got me thinking, is there a right triangle such that a, b, c are whole numbers, and a=b?

So Fitbit/Google says "You must move your Fitbit account to a Google account"... But also: "oh, you pay for your Google account? Yeah, no you can't do that..." Because what I always wanted when I got my own domain for these things was to create yet another account...

Does anyone know: When using Ctrl+P to navigate to a file in @vscode.dev, how do you determine which file is which without using the mouse? Difference between these files is that these are in two different directories. If I mouse over them, I can see the directory. But I don't want to use my mouse.

Here they are... The red ones I changed, and the green one I used to change, I'm glad they got rid of it because OMG... Also: sticky keys... Usually after they try to activate because I'm holding a key down too long...

I think I can explain why the browser link icon is what is it... The icon appears to actually mean "refresh linked browser(s)"... and the refresh icon in Edge and Windows Explorer is clockwise (although rotated slightly, so it's not a direct representation).

To close the loop, this is the comment I was referring to: www.reddit.com/r/dotnet/com... Shared with a screenshot of it in case it too gets deleted.
The current PID loop refresh rate is 6.67Hz, so accuracy and response is far from optimal. The bottleneck is a controller card that I currently have to go through at 9600 baud, severely nerfing the performance. The next version will have a Raspberry Pi with .NET connected directly to the motors, in which case performance should basically be limited only by motor characteristics.

Edit: Some more details:

The database is a SQLite database. I use EF Core and FluentMigration.

Joystick input is handled by Silk.NET

In the frontend I use the MudBlazor component library

The sensor inputs (heading, altitude, pitch, roll) are read from a GNSS compass from Advanced Navigation. It's the big white thing you see next to the light.

I use NetTopologySuite, GeographicLib.NET and MathNet for various geospatial-related calculations.

Stabilization is achieved using rotation matrices that basically subtract the pitch and roll sensor readings from the desired pan and tilt control values.

Edit 2: I deleted this post because a bunch of people are getting confused. Will be back on another occasion and include some screenshots or video of the UI to connect the dots for people.

I have an A&D Bluetooth one. The app it suggested is replaced with this new one that is much better. I ended up using the cuff from the first one I got which was also an A&D non-bluetooth model. The main thing in my experience is to make sure you get the right sized cuff.

Ok, it's definitely this setting that I'm pretty sure I turned off... I had to turn it back on, I then restarted, and while it still didn't bring recent items back, as soon as I opened VS Code, it's JumpList of locations was back. Visual Studio's still isn't, but that one wasn't used nearly as much.

I mean... That's possible, but since search on Windows 11 doesn't seem to show that as a setting... Meanwhile Windows 10 finds some settings for the Start menu... Perhaps I need to look in the Windows 11 settings for start menu 🤔
