I've an idea for a story: A magical school run by a hag who gets high off of black mold, undoes anything not to her liking, and operates solely on the fiction she writes on a rusty typewriter. Oh, and unruly children become wall murals. The school? Called Crowbuncle #story #fuckjkr #writing #bip

I absolutely love this game Except when my high alignment units kill other high alignment units. It's not my fault! I can only direct so much, but they all stand in perfectly 3x3 grids, ready to take turns slapping each other! Isn't there a better way?

Any inspirational story where someone down on their luck just happens to find a prolific position or climb up the ranks at *all.* (I am unemployed) For *degrees* specifically... a lot of movies, because "math complicated" and not all movies feel the need to be accurate there.

I agree; American cheese is actually quite good as a binder for other cheeses if you're making a sauce. I'm not a fan of the taste of plain American cheese since it's very soft in comparison to some of my favorites, like cheddar or pecorino, but it is useful all the same.

@playbalatro.com Question for the Balatro dev team: Why do you hate me? I just want a Flush. I have so many runs where I just max out Pairs or High Cards. I can't believe the game centered around chance would mean I would lose sometimes. I am hurt. (just kidding - the game is great!)

A not-great Wii game called "Calling," which I think is about a girl who died in a hospital and all sorts of hauntings that happen thereof. I now realize it's not very scary because the main "threat" is ghosts kinda shaking you by the shoulders until you throw them off.

I will always recommend Scream and The Addams Family Values. Oh, and for shows? Garth Marenghi's Darkplace. It can be watched on any other occasion, but the intent of the show is that it's a meta piece on a supernatural medical "horror" show, so I feel it fits.

Balatro is giving me some insight to myself... what do you mean I've been staring at single-player poker with nice sound effects and art for hours? Nuh uh. It's like the same kind of trance you'd get watching porn, but like a new form of gratification. #game #balatro

I have never been a fan of the more mental stats for RPGs since I feel some metrics are more subjective than others... for example, Moxxie, I think, has way more charisma than this is giving him credit for, but that's because I associate "not a total asshole" with okay or higher charisma.

010

Cornelius R. Thumb @corrthumb.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

True, but I only say that because the intricacies of the relationship between patron and Warlock are... ill-defined in D&D; it's always kind of been that way, save for Paladins who have clear and discrete *rules* they follow in the form of tenets. Switching patrons is something I haven't heard of.

010

Cornelius R. Thumb @corrthumb.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

Stolas is a Conjuration Wizard, I'd wager, meaning he has more in common with Presto the Magician from the D&D cartoon... now all he needs is a Hat of Conjuring (or something more modern like the Robe of Useful Items.)

010

Cornelius R. Thumb @corrthumb.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

Fizz could also be seen as a Warlock of Mammon. It's common in some interpretations of a Warlock character that their patron is *responsible* for the powers they possess, but they aren't fully in control of their victim; a level of free will must be respected for obvious gameplay reasons of course.

The agora has been replaced by billboards and blocks of firms and Apple stores; there is no room for natural growth, of word-of-mouth being all that sates the need for endless revenue. Thus, many must capitulate to swapping hands, no matter how nonsensical it may seem. Money is illogical.

000

Cornelius R. Thumb @corrthumb.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

If I had to assign subclasses to the HB cast... - Millie could be a Berserker - Verosika could be Glamour or Eloquence - Beelzebub could be Festus domain from Griffon's Saddlebag - Blitz is most likely a Battle Master - Vassago is just hot so any Paladin subclsss Thinkin still #helluvaboss #dnd

031

Cornelius R. Thumb @corrthumb.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

This means Stolas is reminiscent of Presto the Magician from the old D&D cartoon, though that was AD&D which didn't formalize differences between magic users (beyond like... Cleric and Druid if I recall)

000

Cornelius R. Thumb @corrthumb.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

So I saw the D&D promotional material for Helluva Boss. I think Stolas would be a Conjuration Wizard if his MO (or the MO of his grimoire for Blitz et al) is using portals, since spells like Gate and Dimension Door are Conjuration. #dnd #hb #hellaverse

I long for a new comic or movie series about superheroes that don't come from the main two, since I feel that the superhero genre still has a lot to say but it's ultimately colored by the grittiness of DC or the semi-saccharine campiness but also somewhat seriousness of Marvel.

I find it immensely strange that the original post talks about using AI for character art and "atmosphere:" things that are undeniably really important to nail from a human perspective to give aesthetic uniqueness to a game, because aesthetics create (and subvert sometimes) expectations.

I wonder if the characters of TADC would all make good psychics or thaumaturges a la Pathfinder 2e. Thaumaturge is a class who historically works on its own sort of logic (and is my favorite,) and Psychic is all about manifestations. #pf2e #tadc #rpg

Sorry; I'm still made a little silly from recovering from a sickness. To answer the question, I think it would depend on vendor, no? If I recall, medical surplus stores sell pretty much any typically-expendable supplies like scrubs.
