Agree! Instead of “experts steeped in research,” let’s have “experts from the field” who have actually tested and tinkered with many of these “innovations.” I think I can argue that none of these are novel ideas, so none are truly that innovative. Real innovation comes from those with the problem.

Yup. Sometimes I imagine humans as one of the matriarchal animals - where females influence decisions more than males - honeybees, elephants, orcas, lions, etc. I dream of a world where we battle less + build w/nature + understand more about space, our planet, ourselves… and are under budget.

Sooooo much of Chicago is west of the river. I strongly disagree about the move to suburbs. In my head, Wicker is not even “west of river,” even though it is technically is. Can’t find data but ~50% of Chicago is west of western ave. Check it out to see the beauty of our “Urbs in Horto.” 🤓🌳
