I'm thinking of starting a series of posts called 'Random Stuff we have in our House' . . . My family have lived in this house for 5 generations now, which means that we have a lot of strange stuff, like these cannon balls. No clue if they were found on the farm or came from somewhere else . . .

How is everyone this morning? I confess to have a mini meltdown today, I have too many balls in the air and am struggling to keep this show on the road. It also appears that I can only speak in idioms. #Cornwall

Today marks the anniversary of the death of Charlotte Dymond in 1844. This monument was erected by public subscription after her murder close to the spot where her body was found. Find out more about her & the strange fascination her death created in #Cornwall 👇 cornishbirdblog.com/remembering-...

Huge THANK YOU to the hardy group of folks who joined us on Bodmin Moor yesterday evening for the 2nd of our Dark Skies walks! The moor was a very 'atmospheric' place last evening but the landscape never fails to inspire & I think we all had a wonderful if slightly windblown time! #Cornwall #Kernow

For those who came on my guided walk to Goodaver Stone Circle at the weekend here is what is used to look like! Such a different place back in 2022 when you could only get there by sneaking in through the plantation! #cornwall

So delighted to have received a copy of Dr Charlotte Mackenzie's latest book! It explores life in Georgian #Cornwall, particularly visitor's impressions of Penzance and is another fine example of Dr Mackenzie's extensive knowledge of the period. @cornwallhistory.bsky.social
