I was walking to work in London that morning when I heard the news on my phone radio. I had seen him live for the first time (with The Mescalaros) just a few years previously. On my way home that evening, I bought a bottle of Jameson, put on my Clash On Broadway cd boxset & gave Joe his send-off.
