That being said, we linked variables and words! Right-click a word to link it to a variable. Hover over E, and “energy” lights up in the text. And the other way around.

Most people read E=mc² as “E equals m c squared.” It means energy equals mass times the speed of light squared. A lot of math is written for people who already know what the letters mean. We’ve been trying to fix that in our docs, starting with the letters.

The Navier-Stokes problem, been open 90 years: Can still water move infinitely fast if you push it? Yesterday, OpenAI said it can. We made an interactive Corca doc that walks through it: corca.app/doc/E38yHfvW...

Navier–Stokes Blowup: An Interactive Explainer
OpenAI announced an AI-generated disproof of the Navier-Stokes existence-and-smoothness problem, demonstrating that smooth initial data and a smooth force can lead to a finite-time blowup in velocity,...

3. Text and math shouldn't feel like two different documents. Right-click a word, and it becomes a variable

2. Leaving the doc to convert a unit costs more than the conversion. So it happens in place now

Writing math on a computer is full of small stops. Three of them are gone this summer: 1. You almost never need the whole derivation. You need one step out of forty, fold the rest

Math became a thing for people who can code, we don't think it has to be

Corca @corca.io · 17/07/2026
We also shipped a lot of smaller improvements across OCR, math input, units, percentages, collaboration, and the editor. They don’t deserve separate announcements, but together they make Corca feel a bit smoother to use 💙

You can now run Python directly inside your document. Test an idea, analyze data, make a plot, then rerun everything with Run All after making changes.

AI can now work with your files. Drop in a PDF or image, ask questions, and keep the conversation next to your document instead of moving everything into a separate chat.

It wasn’t intentional at first, but most of our recent releases ended up solving the same kind of problem. Fewer tabs, fewer copy-pastes, fewer places where your train of thought gets interrupted. Here’s what changed ⬇️

fair point! will do a more detailed one soon :)

You are using the same variables over and over. It’s nice when the document remembers them.

Nice not having to keep a YouTube video, a paper, and your notes open side by side anymore. You can now embed them directly in Corca.

Two rival grocery delivery founders land Nvidia's backing with a bet on math
Corca, a startup by Oleg Shevlyagin and Anton Gladkoborodov, raises $7.8M from Nvidia and other investors to innovate math workspaces with AI tools.

Corca raised a $7.8M round led by NEA, with NVenture, Daft Capital, and others! We're on track to democratize math for everyone. You don't need to be "good at math" to start. We started with natural math editing, and now AI explains and helps you along the way. Now, back to work!

Most math-heavy work is trying things, getting stuck, changing the model, asking questions, realizing you were solving the wrong problem. It’s also notes, calculations, simulations, graphs, AI conversations, and half-finished ideas. We think those things belong in the same place.

You can just type matrices in Corca directly from the keyboard. Shift+Enter adds rows. Shift+Space adds columns.

Corca @corca.io · 06/05/2026
Type “integral,” get ∫(x)d(x). That’s basically it.No backslashes or commands. You just type, and it turns into notation. That's the entire learning curve.

Hints are taking care of the mechanical math — evaluating sums and products, factoring and expanding expressions, working with matrices, computing statistics, and using variables defined earlier in the document.

Nothing crazy, but a lot of people asked for it

We haven’t posted here in a while, so let’s unpack what we’ve been working on over the past few months, one by one. Automatic units. Add units to your variables once, and they carry through every calculation automatically. Set v = 10 m/s and t = 2 s, and distance comes out in meters.

We stopped writing text on paper years ago. But when it comes to math, we still use it. Not out of love for paper, just because typing math is slow and painful. Corca is as fast as paper, but can also CALCULATE.

Corca @corca.io · 16/01/2026
Text is a string. Math isn’t. It grows in every direction into multi-line structures. That’s why people still do math on paper. We’re bringing that experience to computers. Corca is WYSIWYG math editor, and it's fast!

You can now add graphs 📈

Corca @corca.io · 02/10/2025
Yes, it’s still beta. Hints can’t do a lot of stuff yet—for instance, no linear algebra or summation (for now). But we’ll keep adding capabilities. If you need something ASAP, or something doesn’t work—shoot us a message. 🙌

Big update! 🚀 Now, Corca not only lets you type math — it actively helps you with it. Just type an equation, and it will suggest the solution. It can solve equations, simplify expressions, and even tackle integrals. And this is just the beginning — more is coming soon.

Corca @corca.io · 18/08/2025
It can be copied and pasted as LaTeX, making Corca the fastest way to type LaTeX

Drag any image into your doc, click “Recognize,” and Corca extracts the math—equations, symbols, text.

Corca @corca.io · 08/07/2025
Now it’s smooth. Numbers are still full math nodes under the hood, but you can edit them like regular text. It feels natural—and looks familiar.

Corca @corca.io · 08/07/2025
In Corca, when you type math, you’re not just entering symbols—you’re building structured mathematical objects. For example, "sinx" isn’t just four characters—it’s the function sin applied to the variable x. That structure is powerful, but editing used to feel a bit awkward.

Corca @corca.io · 08/07/2025
We’ve just made editing numbers in Corca much easier

Thank you! We plan to open‑source a significant part of our editor in the future. Once we do, you’ll probably be able to integrate it into other products, but we’re not there yet.

Click the button in the right sidebar to add a table. Pro tip: press Shift + Space to add a column and Shift + Enter to add a row—the same shortcuts work for matrices.

Corca @corca.io · 07/05/2025
We’ve finally added tables support! It’s still far from perfect, we have plenty of work to make them more useful. But at least you can now organize your data in tables.

Introducing Color Schemes! We believe color coding is important in math, just like in code editors. It makes equations easier to read and follow. But some prefer bright colors, others love the classic black & white look. Now, you can choose the color scheme you like!
