I do think EA will hold onto BioWare and Mass Effect until ME5 is launched but I could potentially see them selling some BioWare IP (Dragon Age, Jade Empire) before then. Kind of sucks though, as I'm not sure I want to play an EA ME5.

I agree with this comment though. I have a lot of GOG games/installers on my laptop. I can put them on a USB stick too and throw them in a draw and in theory, 10 years from now I should still be able to install them.

My hope is if BioWare or their IP does get sold, we can finally get Origin/EA App removed as a requirement from the game code as a patch and the The Dragon Age Keep can be moved to a different server and another patch can be released that reads the new IP address. Yep, I'm coping.

This is me (not the Graha thing, no idea what that is). I'm happy to move on from Dragon Age and have resigned myself to the franchise dying and never seeing the light of day again beyond potential remasters (and I'm resigned to not getting those, either).
