23,793 households in North Northamptonshire have no car or van at all. For them the bus is the service, not the backup. The Government’s fare cap falls to £2 in January 2027. Lib Dems want £1 — plus 10% off rail fares and 12p a litre off at the pump. (ONS, Census 2021)
Orange graphic. Headline: Cut the cost of getting around. Text: Liberal Democrats are calling on the Chancellor to cut fuel duty by 10p — 12p a litre off at the pump. £1 bus fares, not the £2 cap planned for January 2027. Rail fares down 10%. Everyone in Corby pays a water bill. Nobody in Corby owns a share of the company that sends it. Reported plans would add nine regional bodies run by mayors. North Northamptonshire hasn’t got one. Put water in mutual ownership instead.
Green graphic headed WATER OWNERSHIP, with the headline “Owned by billpayers. Not run by mayors.” in large white type. Below it: reported plans would put water companies under nine new regional bodies overseen by mayors; North Northamptonshire hasn’t got a mayor and the devolution bid it has in with Government is for a Foundation Strategic Authority, which doesn’t come with one either; and the Liberal Democrats want water in mutual ownership, run by and for the people who use it. A white panel at the foot carries the Liberal Democrat logo, the branch name Corby, the source credit and the imprint.

The one-in, one-out pilot with France, as at 30 June: 1,087 people returned, 1,117 accepted. We took more than we sent. 33,000 arrived by small boat that year. Deals done one country at a time don't scale. Britain should negotiate into the EU-wide returns system.
Navy graphic. The figure 5% in large white type above the line 'of small boat arrivals have been returned.' Body text: 205,000 people arrived by small boat between 2018 and June 2026, about 9,700 were returned; Norway, Iceland, Switzerland and Liechtenstein sit inside the EU returns system without being members; Britain should negotiate its way back in. Have a baby in Corby and you have it in Kettering. So its maternity rating is ours too — requires improvement on safety at the last inspection, good in 2019. Ministers have just voted down one-to-one midwifery and 24/7 consultant cover.
