Doesn't surprise me. I live in Birmingham and as a fan base they seem to have the biggest chip on their collective shoulder. Got plenty of Villa mates who are great, but as a group they just always seem to be perennial victims.

I can't say I'm an expert on the past, but the organisation hasn't been anti keg in policy for as long as I've been a member (14 years). Even my local festival has been serving keg almost as long as that.
