One planning tool is the "Tree Equity Score". Looking at #Corstorphine we vary from 100 (the goal, green) down to the low 70s (orange), with 87 in the town centre area. Notable for town centre is relatively high pollution and heat disparity. uk.treeequityscore.org/map
A map of our general area showing the tree equity score of 87 for Corstorphine town centre.Data for Corstorphine. Notable is a canopy cover of 13% with a goal of 24% and high relative figures for pollution and a "heat disparity" of 3.77C, meaning it is nearly 4 degrees centigrade hotter than it should be.

1/2 At last month's Corstorphine Fair we put up a flip chart and asked people to indicate what were the most important issues in the area. The overwhelming choice was "roads and potholes." This is an issue that affects cyclists and bus users as well as drivers.
A poster board showing the top priorities as chosen by Corstorphine Fair goers.
In order they were Roads & Potholes, Greenspaces, Cleanliness, Safety, Transport and "youths on bikes"
