iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

But in order to do that I know I gotta get back in the saddle so hopefully I'll be outta this rut soon and back to makin' y'all laugh. So I just ask y'all to be patient with me as I navigate a lot of shit irl rn!! I'll be back ASAP! Promise!

If i do any streams it'll probably be with friends since that's easier for me rn so keep them peepers peeled for them if they happen! And just know i appreciate y'all a ton rn just for sticking by me. I was right at 200 on twitch when everything fell apart so I wanna actually hit that goal

100

I've mostly been ignoring everything with ff14 and trying not to think too much and haven't had the energy to stream and I'm sorry for that. I just don't feel it'd be very fun for y'all to watch me do anything qhen I'm this low. But don't worry too much I'll be ok eventually.

Another new pinned post for y'all. So as y'all have noticed i haven't been streaming a ton like I'd hoped to. Truth is I'm not doing so great being the scenes. We got a lot happening to the crypt itself (none of which is good) and Beaux's been sick.

Alrighty boils, ghouls, and all creatures in-between! Now this ain't a streaming announcement of anything but some of you who know me may know my love of science and history. And well, if even one of you takes the time to read through this and signs the petition at the very least that'd be amazing!

Save the Academy of Natural Sciences

And now for a tl;dr version of that big ass thread I posted! Sign this petition to try and help save the oldest natural history museum in all of the Americas. Show rich fuckheads we want public museums and less pay walled learning! Better late than never! save-the-academy.org

Don't mourn — organize. The museum's last public day is Sunday, Sept 27. Ten things you can do today.

I think I wanna do a donathon if the Drexel musuem stays open and they pull the well we need funding bullshit despite us knowing good god damned well they can afford the place as is. I dont really have a ton of reach but again, science and history is so SO important I can't stress this enough y'all.

So if y'all made it this far thank you for reading everything and I seriously hope you at least consider signing the petition. It's not in vain and we got the whole damn city of Philly behind us and they don't go down without a fight!!

What boogles my mind too is this is in PHILLY ya know, where they grease the light poles when the Eagles play because either way those bitches getting climbed! The fact this whole thing shows how greedy and disgusting the people that can own these places are is even worse.

The Big Dig | Academy of Natural Sciences Exhibits

And this place has a cool ass dinosaur hall with several cool ass dinos on display like the Hadrosaurus foulkii, Avaceratops, Pachycephalosaurus, and OF COURSE THEY GOT THE T-REX!!!! You can even do a cut little fossil dig too! ansp.org/experience/e...

ansp.org

Dig for dinosaur fossils in a hands-on exhibit at the Academy, where kids uncover bones, identify species, and explore like paleontologists.

Growing up, going to places like this made me fall in love with science and history, it's been a hobby I guess of mine behind the scenes to just learn and find out new things all the time. And if ya know me, ya know I LOVE dinosaurs a lot.

Save the Academy of Natural Sciences

But here's where y'all come in!!! If you guys head to this link and read over everything, at the bottom is a few things you can do right from your own crypts to help out! Let them know you want this place to stay in the hands of the public and not "moved" to a private location! save-the-academy.org

The Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University

And if you visit their website and take a look you can see other dope ass exhibits they have and I know there's something for everyone! And hell, if you're in Philly, maybe swing by if you can make it!! It also looks like there's a candle vigil at 5 p.m. in front of the Academy too! ansp.org

ansp.org

The Academy of Natural Sciences in Philadelphia. Founded in 1812, the Academy is a leading natural history museum and research institution.

There's fuckin plant specimens from LEWIS AND CLARK, and yeah we can talk about those guys sure, but what's important here is those plant specimens! They're from before invasive species, agricultural changes, environmental damage. How rad right? Being able to see something like that!

This place is saying they want to move artifacts that are thousands of years old & require very careful and specific handling/care?? That's absolutely insane, so much could be damaged $ lost causing massive damage to education potential. Shells in their collection have already helped win a lawsuit!

The privatization and pay walling of higher education is staggering and can seem overwhelming but we have to fight where and how we can. As we lose more and more public museums and education centers during a literal education crisis in the states it'll only get worse. We gotta try and stop that.

Sadly, I'm making this post only 3 days before the set date for it to close to the public but I still wanna put it out there to maybe just get a few more voices rallied behind saving this place! Because you should care about this a lot, this place holds so many things that can't be replaced.

So what's the ole demon on about you ask? Well on september 1st, Drexel University made an announcement that they plan to permanently close the Academy of Natural Sciences aka the oldest natural history museum in all of the Americas. Which, is insane to think about and would be a massive loss.
