I’ve been playing GBA Chain of Memories lately and it’s quite fun to compare the levels and bosses to RE:CoM to see how they adapted them into 3D. Genie Jafar is just as aids to fight in both versions 😭

Like, just getting to hang out in traverse town every night for rhe past couple weeks has been so lovely. This series feels like home to me, I love exploring and existing in these worlds, such an imaginative series filled with love and im very glad they still got a stranglehold over my heart

I remember when I first played through the series 8 years ago, I came out of kh1 pretty critical of it esp after playing 2. Ansem wooped my ass 😭 over the years its become one of my favorite games ever I really think it might be the strongest entry in the series even if I love 2 and 358’s story more

The 'wow!! a gundam!!' meme, but wherein the viewer calls Goodbye, Lara yuribait as the message 'Fairytales have toxic and prescriptive endings that preempt the agency and choices of female characters, even and especially queer ones' flies over their head. Then they say 'kiss already!!'.

Forever Kingdom (2001) | action RPG | PlayStation 2 | FromSoftware Three friends quest to break a curse binding their souls together! Known as EverGrace II in Japan, it served as a prequel with unearthly music, gear-based progression, and built on the previous title's, pot helmet friendly action.

Ive rewatched sayolaras ending like 4 times today and each time it hits me a little bit harder. Im gonna miss this show so damn much :(

🍁Cookieofthecream🍁 @cookieofcream.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

I dont think what the finale is trying to say about love is incongruous with the rest of the show, I just dont find how it was presented through these characters all that compelling compared to similarly abrupt, jarring conclusions. The show’s gotten the same point across better in earlier eps.

Im so sad rn is this art not from a Dark Angel anime adaptation or smth?? I couldnt find any information about it beyond the original manga. thats the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen in my life wdym theres only 1 image of her like this…

Endings like this tend to elicit strong emotions from everyone and get heavily re-evaluated with time. I’ll end up appreciating it more after a few weeks but man right now I just feel kinda empty. What was all of that for then?

🍁Cookieofthecream🍁 @cookieofcream.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

Sayolara’s finale was probably the most stunning ep of the whole series, the first 2/3s of it had me in awe. Directorially perfect episode that sorta trips over itself in the last few minutes contradicting what it built up to. Im conflicted and understand what it was going for but feels half baked

THAT BEING SAID I really do like those few moments where I was fully absorbed into the game. The barely serviceable weighs down some of it’s powerful spectacles that felt on par with it’s predecessor! Its a gorgeous game at times and all the designs and artwork kick ass.

030

🍁Cookieofthecream🍁 @cookieofcream.bsky.social · 17/09/2026

For 80% of my playthrough the story was dull, any little crumbs of intrigue were given much too sparingly and the payoff they build up to didnt hit. They backend some potentially promising reveals, so they end up feeling rushed and underestablished. The final boss would be incredible if I cared :(

130

🍁Cookieofthecream🍁 @cookieofcream.bsky.social · 17/09/2026

There’s a handful of phenomenal moments sprinkled throughout an otherwise horribly paced slog of a game. even if the combats an improvement over 1, the levels felt like they’d never end. The story’s nowhere near as compelling and the cast has a painful lack of personality that made it hard to care.

KH3 was made under a lot of unfortunate circumstances that really held it back, so hearing that 4’s development has been the smoothest in the series yet has me hopeful. Trailers have looked 100x better than what 3 gave us in terms of directing so I’m hoping to avoid shit like this moving forward

030

🍁Cookieofthecream🍁 @cookieofcream.bsky.social · 13/09/2026

I loved kh3 but oh my god we have got to do better than this for 4… going back to practically any of the Keyblade Graveyard scenes is painful for the wrong reasons. That game’s biggest issue is awful cutscene & voice direction + very lazy fight choreography
