Haste/Naito's far better than expected yet is also the beneficiary of lowered expectations. Haste's wrestling himself for much of it (almost Ospreay/Naito G1 territory), but Naito connected the dots well, didn't look half as immobile as he has of late, and milked a hot Korakuen for all it was worth.

Oskar was on one on during GOK/Tsuji, rightfully blaming the company for GOK/HOT slop. "'Oh, it cannot be helped.' But it CAN be helped!" This is the best G1 since 2019 and a quarter of it is still effectively unwatchable. Things are improving in New Japan but could easily be so much better.
