Cabinet in the Woods is over and with it the first ever (to my knowledge) Wii-playable Mystery Game Bracket. This took a lot of background effort across months to put together and I'm really happy with how it turned out.

FGC has always been a deeply loved tradition at YMCA Camp Collins. Every summer, before I even started there in 2017, we’d have setups in the break room and weekend tournaments. What started as a friendly fade in Melee has become Cabinet in the Woods/Smash Camp thanks to Level 1. I love Oregon!!!!!!

hopefully picking up new(used) car tomorrow. it's the first car i'm paying for myself and owning outright (after the 72mo financing period, technically). it's a 2019 hyundai kona EV, a 16 year and 170k mile upgrade to my current car, a 2003 toyota matrix. hoping it's the last car i ever own.

went to karaoke at the local dogshit dive tonight and for most of the night i felt like easily the best singer but then at the 11th hour this tall beautiful trans woman with an immaculate voice came and swept everyone's hearts away i was simply dumbstruck. gonna have to come back and find out more.

Thinking about nothing else except the spectating experience, I think Avatar is far better than Tokon. There's a level of visual clarity that's present in Avatar just not there with Tokon. Knowing virtually nothing about either game before this weekend, it was way easier to pick things up w/ Avatar

someone tell the rivals ppl complaining about the 2hr gap before top 8 that top cuts -> top 8s are scheduled with gaps for every game intentionally so that players who make top 8 aren't locked into a single schedule block of 6+ hours.
