I would like to start a doll photography blog, but I don't like that the most capable seeming static site generator when it comes to images is Astro. Do I trust a JavaScript thing to still exist in 10 years? 🤔

My 9 year old Creality CR-10S was really struggling with the chocolate bars, but creality had a sale so I picked up a K2 Pro... Wow! It printed the chocolate bars with no difficulty at all!

The chocolate bar face may require more finishing work because of the supports... I should have made the face a separate piece to print and glue on 😭 I will try printing it anyway and see how it goes...

Modeled a doll eye case that looks like a chocolate bar! Unfortunately, I didn't think about printing when I was modeling it, and I made it one big printable piece, including the hinge. This means the chocolate bar will be face down on the build plate and need supports. #bjd #bjdaccessories

Modeled eye storage and display trays (they're stackable!) with lots of help from @tschundler.leds.social.ap.brid.gy!!! We couldn't get parameters and patterns to play nice in Fusion (my software of choice), so Ted walked me through modeling it all over again in OnShape (Ted's software of choice)

I realized that for #3, what I want to make is not necessarily a "bokeh" guide, but a shallow depth-of-field guide. "Bokeh guide" feels like it implies that I'll be talking about different types of blur (creamy, swirly, bubbles, etc) while what I want to talk about is how to achieve any blur at all

Finished casting the eye bases! I have an awkward amount of white resin left, so I'll be casting some extra bases in larger sizes and in anime styles to use up the resin. Whether or not those make it to resin rose, we'll have to wait and see.
