I would like to start a doll photography blog, but I don't like that the most capable seeming static site generator when it comes to images is Astro. Do I trust a JavaScript thing to still exist in 10 years? 🤔

Hi everyone! It's official! @heliogabalium.bsky.social and I will be sharing a Dealers' Market table at LA Dolpa! I'm hoping to have 50 pairs of eyes ready as well my chocolate bar eye storage boxes!

Modeled a doll eye case that looks like a chocolate bar! Unfortunately, I didn't think about printing when I was modeling it, and I made it one big printable piece, including the hinge. This means the chocolate bar will be face down on the build plate and need supports. #bjd #bjdaccessories

Practicing making eyes again! I know I did a good job when I can pull the eyes out of the light, and they still glow! #constantsdolleyes #bjdeyes #レジンアイ #bjd

Modeled eye storage and display trays (they're stackable!) with lots of help from @tschundler.leds.social.ap.brid.gy!!! We couldn't get parameters and patterns to play nice in Fusion (my software of choice), so Ted walked me through modeling it all over again in OnShape (Ted's software of choice)

I made a discord server to talk about BJD photography and videography! BJDs are the main focus, but other dolls are welcome, too! discord.gg/8YV2adqhY I've asked around for an existing group but haven't found any, so I decided I'm going to be the change I want to see in the world 🫣

Very sad to hear the news about Den of Angels. I joined as a wee teen, and I've been there for more than half of my life. I don't have much in the way of spoons these days, but I'm going to try my best to see if I can programmatically archive even just a part of it. 🥲

I've put free digital copies of my 2 zines so far up on my ko-fi shop for download! Future zines will also be available for download there! ko-fi.com/constants/shop

Some zines I'm thinking about making: 1. Soft light guide for your sad Victorian children bjds 2. My favorite lighting gear and modifiers (might get combined with above) 3. Bokeh guide for dolls

The set is comprised of pieces of the rapture609c module from Neotropolis! I wanted to take some photos, but I didn't bring my camera. These were snapped with my phone camera, which had trouble with the colors. @tschundler.leds.social.ap.brid.gy edited these for me! 💖 #bjd #bjdphotography

It can be very dramatic how different the same pair of eyes look before and after adding the resin dome! #bjdeyes #レジンアイ #bjd #constantsdolleyes

A pair of bjd resin eyes in progress. The irises have been sculpted out of clay and painted silver and pink, and the black pupils are marked. However, the eyes have not yet been domed in clear resin yet.

I came across the user 咕咕饺 on little red book using a circle centering tool to center pupils on their BJD eyes, and I thought it was genius! Original post here: www.xiaohongshu.com/explore/6872... So I made my own and 3D printed it, and it works like a charm!

I started work on the fun part of making eyes! 4 pairs from today~ These are all C-grade because the bases have obvious flaws. C-grades will be freebies at Resin Rose! If you get a pair of C-grades from the gumball machine, you can pull a 2nd pair! #bjdeyes #レジンアイ #bjd #constantsdolleyes

I'm back in my apartment in a building that's been settling for over a century, so I ordered a leveling table for casting resin eye bases! Going to get back into eye making for Resin Rose!!!
