Trump doesn’t need to annex Canada to put “Trumpland” on American maps. Lake Ontario became Lake America in two days. Google quickly served US naming to US users. The world calls it Canada. What if Americans see Trumpland. When does a map stop describing reality and start making it?

The article uses a description I haven’t seen before: "a nearly 30-bedroom infill development” I like this. It should be standard for all multi-family bldgs. It provides human texture. It also hints to unit mix. A 15-unit/30-BR is very diff from a 25-unit/30-BR project. www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...

2013. Series C funding round. Pensioners were important then, I guess. 🤔 “The large amount of venture capital is being put forward by five investors, led by the investment arm of OMERS, the pension fund for Ontario municipal employees.” www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...

Pick two. Westmount’s full 2025 Capital Works list is public → bit.ly/4qy73ka But not the cost ranges, which I’ve long pushed to publish. City-building takes patience, transparency, and experience. Facts, not fear. viewcone.substack.com conradpeart.ca #WestmountFAFO #FactsAnswersFindOut

I was glad to share a few thoughts in this CBC segment on the region’s housing challenges. In Westmount, the goal is to make room for housing while staying true to our heritage and scale. The question isn’t whether we grow, but how we grow. 🎥 Watch the CBC piece here: www.cbc.ca/player/play/...

“There’s a screaming need for finding room for housing.” Glad to see CBC covering the balance between livability, heritage and housing across Montreal’s cities. Thoughtful growth near transit is how we meet the moment. cbc.ca/news/canada/montreal/montreal-housing-who-decides-1.7650699

As a part-time elected official in a small city, this will forever be my touchstone of truth.
Venn diagram wanting low taxes, low density, and stable services. Pick any two.
