Such a terrible loss. Sarah and I came up together in energy geography and I always felt like she was my biggest fan. I think a lot of people felt the same. So generous, so supportive, and such a brilliant scholar and great friend. We’ll miss her so much.

Durham Geography is devastated by the sad news of the death of our dear friend and enormously respected and much-loved colleague, Sarah Knuth, after an incredibly brave battle with cancer. Our thoughts go out to her family and close friends. We will miss her immensely.

This is a really excellent essay. It does seem to be that the speed of maximizing profitability is the primary differentiating characteristic of PE.
