Local bike shop didn’t have the stock that they claimed to on the website so I cycled to a few more powered by spite. Was a lovely day for it, but I was not prepared to cycle 23 miles.

Trying to buy a new bike and having the most boomer “WHY DOES NO ONE WANT MY MONEY” attitude right now. Bike shops completely out of stock of multiple sizes. Others who can *sell* the bike but don’t have the staff to put it together. And yet more who just won’t pick up the phone.

And the long cycle home - 27km (16 miles) done today. My borrowed road bike is way too big, so if I don’t want to castrate myself coming to a stop too quickly I’m simply going to have to buy my own bike 🤷🏼‍♂️
