Very curious how "basically a one year deal" this two year deal is. I know that's the verbiage beign run with in reporting, but getting up to $20m guaranteed on a $30m deal usually leaves quite a lot dead money in year two, which the Chiefs try to avoid at all costs.

Patrick Mekari is an interesting player for the Chiefs to look at in free agency. Flexibility between Guard and Tackle and also has played LT at a solid level recently. Perfect player to pair with Kingsley/Wanya to get the best 5 out there in a post Trey Smith world.
