I absolutely agree that these euphemisms are an improvement on distinguishing a book without explicit sex scenes as "clean", which is obvs even more puritanical But part of why I am so hardline on saying "erotica" and "sex" is that like, these are perfectly natural, normal, and fun things to write

in the heat of the moonlight
