Donald Trump’s war in Iran has sent prices skyrocketing. Trump could lower costs today by ending this reckless war. Instead, he’s aiding Russia and betraying Ukraine in a desperate attempt to temporarily bring prices down.

Republicans are unbelievable hypocrites on the national debt. They cut revenue by trillions so billionaires can get massive tax breaks. Any serious plan to address the debt has to include reversing these shortfalls. www.wsj.com/politics/pol...

We should take the debt seriously, but that means being honest about how we got here. Spending alone didn't get us to $40 trillion. Decades of tax breaks for billionaires and big corporations have cost taxpayers trillions. Read my full op-ed in @financialtimes.com:

Trump withdrew funding for life-saving health research, including programs at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the University of Pennsylvania. Not only is this illegal, but it's immoral. My Congressional Power of the Purse Act would stop this callous power grab.

Trump isn't fooling anyone with his new $5,000 check stunt. I haven't seen a dime from the DOGE or tariff checks he promised over a year ago. In fact, he's done worse than give us nothing — he's costing Americans more with his tariff taxes and Iran war.

Everyone knows Trump's agenda has been a disaster for the economy. But we can start getting costs down in spite of him. As the lead Democrat on @housebudgetdems.bsky.social, I'm committed to overturning his costly tariff taxes and stopping funding for his moronic war in Iran.

President Trump doesn't have any excuse, and Americans are out of patience. The reality is he's been a terrible president for the economy. Americans deserve leaders in Washington who care about getting our economy back on track.

Under Donald Trump, the dream of homeownership is becoming further out of reach for too many Americans. I'm willing to work with anyone who's serious about lowering costs for families and getting our national debt under control.

For the cost of his Iran war, Trump could have extended the enhanced Affordable Care Act tax credits and kept premiums down for millions of Americans. But everyone knows he doesn't actually care about lowering costs. This president only offers publicity stunts and forever wars.

Americans are sick and tired of President Trump subjecting them to his taxpayer-funded vanity projects. Americans deserve a president who cares more about lowering their costs than promoting himself.

Trump is the most out-of-touch president in American history, and everyone knows it. While his tariff taxes and his war in Iran keep your costs too high, he's spending your tax dollars on a gilded ballroom and tax breaks for billionaires.

We haven't seen such low approval for a president on the economy since the Great Recession in 2008. But it's not a mystery why — under Trump the cost of basic needs are rising out of control, and homeownership is out of reach for too many Americans.

If Republicans actually cared about waste, fraud, and abuse, they would start by asking the President why he’s enriched himself and his family off the presidency. Instead, they’d rather rip health care away from Americans while Trump continues to grift.

The Federal Reserve just raised interest rates because Donald Trump's tariff taxes and Iran war have sent inflation soaring. It's been over two years since Trump promised to lower costs on "Day One." Instead, he's done the exact opposite.

Boyle, Bynum Introduce Back-to-School Supplies
Affordability Act
Like families across the country, my wife and I felt the sticker shock when we went back-to-school shopping this year.
Families are already stretching every dollar, and they shouldn't be forced to pay even more for basic school supplies because of President Trump's reckless tariff taxes.
I'm proud to help lead this bill to eliminate tariffs on back-to-school essentials and give parents, teachers, and students some much-needed relief.
