Vertigo 1
Title: Darkness
Author: Forough Farrokhzad
Translator: Jafar Ibrahim

Turn off the last stars
Turn off the streetlights
I have married darkness
I have married the night

On the day I die
A sound will be heard from the heart of the night
Cries from the heart of solitude
A sound from the heart of darkness

That darkness all are afraid of
That darkness everyone wants to cover up
That darkness that is everywhere
That darkness I have married

Beneath my skin
Beneath the darkness of my heart
Beneath the wounds that can never be healed
That darkness will always be there

I have married the darkness
From here to eternity
I will be a companion to the darkness.

Mars #0
"I don't know when the reds started multiplying. I only have a faint memory of wet treetops. Above me, a red light pulsated with a vivid and faint breath, like a red star. The star burned, and its smoke lingered in the air, searing my lungs with each breath. The whites of my eyes turned redder. The moon shone through the trees, turning the forest red. A naked woman approached slowly from behind the trees, her image blurry. The red moonlight illuminated her body, and her lips were black. The red star burned. My lungs burned. The woman was above me. The red star went out, and the world behind my eyelids caught fire, and red multiplied in my soul."
