Happy 40th to Metroid! I played the original way back in the day with my Dad. He worked at Thrifty Drug Store and bought me a copy. Later, he bought a giant graph foam board and started drawing out the map as I played. Many fond memories of this series.

Switch 2 to me is an impressive piece of hardware. I don't think people really understand how amazing it is that Resident Evil Requiem is 360p in handheld mode upscaled to 1080p using DLSS. So to demonstrate, I took a screenshot and downgraded it to 360p. Look at those Doom-like sized pixels!

It's been a week, so let me just say that Resident Evil 9 is one of the most satisfying experiences in gaming I've had in a long while. It's everything the kid who loved Resident Evil 2 on PS1 hoped would come next. The callbacks are well done, finding a way to honor every game that came before it.
