Turning an older drawing into a painting. This is what I got done last night and a bit of the process. The underpainting was done in pencil and then acrylic (including the yellow wash over). The rest is oil paints. #oilpaint #painting #art

A little bit of break time doodling and I ended up with an unimpressed kitty in a hat.

I decided I would paint another picture of a person so I made a reference by drawing over her original photograph. It's a little bit naughty though 😜 Here's what I got so far. For the mockup I used medibang paint pro and I made the background in the painting with an acrylic under layer. #art #paint

I was working on a quick concept for a painting and ended up with something that could be a decent piece on its own potentially. I would have to clean it up a lot though #art #digitalart

So what did I learn in school? I don't remember after all these years. What did I do in school? Mostly drawing since all my work got done fast. Here's one from high-school probably in 2018 or 2019. #art #maps #fantasymaps #pencilart

I finally got around to "finishing" that painting. I may turn around and decide to actually put her face in in the future but for now I am satisfied with it. #Art #oilpainting #paintings

The painting is a picture of a woman sitting on a rock with one leg over the other in a field of dry and yellowed plants. She is wearing a brown-tan leather coat with wool trimming and a wool interior as well as a black shirt and leggings paired with a grey dress with blue stripes on it. In her hand is a coffee cup from a restaurant and she is leaning slightly on the other. Her face is somewhat blurred.

I made this one a few years ago when my son was born. The trees I saw outside the window of the hospital room he was born in. The painting was made for him and I hope he keeps it when he grows up and moves out.

The painting is a colorful background with green and yellow on the right, orange in the middle and red, purple and blue on the left with some white splotches around the place. In the foreground is the silhouette of a pair of trees standing together with no leaves.

Titled "Vision", made on a 9x12 canvas panel

The painting is zoomed in on an open eye with a green iris. There is a bright glowing purple beam of light reflected in the iris. The iris itself is a dark purple in colour.

My latest work titled "Mutual Support". This one was a quick 2 hour project. #Art #Oilpainting #painting

On a bright yellow/green background, there's two trees in the dirt. The one of the left has had a section chopped out and is barely connected to its stump while the one on the right has a broken section as well and is stuck in a pile of stones. Their branches are intertwined and holding each other up. Neither of them would be able to hold themself up without the other. In the background there is a faint hint of other plants and grass in the distance and at the top is the canopy of leaves. The trees have a reddish grey hue to them and the leaves are dark green with yellow highlights.

So this is what I got so far. I might just give up on doing the face entirely and either leave it smeared or make it like a mannequin. We will see. She told me she likes it so far though.

The final product of my space project. I decided on an earth-like planet and I finished up the background a bit too. I am totally satisfied with how this painting turned out. I think I'm going to call it "A New World" #art #paint #oilpainting #painting #canadianartist

The painting is just a black background with a few colorful spheres around the place with one big blue planet with a couple continents and ice caps like earth. The planet has some yellow and white highlights and a few thin indications of white clouds blended into the blue of the water. There's also some colour thrown around in the corners such as yellow, purple green and orange, blended into the black. There are also plenty of yellow- white spots where I flicked some paint thinner at the wet paint to create a star like effect. I have also added some white spots around to look like little stars around the whole canvas.
