“In such a moment, documentary cinema becomes more than observation; it becomes a space for sustained attention. The films in this year’s competition lineup resist simplification and speed. They insist on complexity, on ambiguity, and on the dignity of lived experience."

“We are living through a period in which the frameworks that once felt stable – political, moral, even cognitive – are shifting beneath our feet. Institutions are tested, conflicts intensify, and new technologies challenge our understanding of perception and agency."

For the past 5 years, we’ve been quietly working away as producers on director Kenya-Jade Pinto’s debut feature documentary, The Sandbox. ⏳ We’re happy to share that it’s now ready to make its way out into the world. The film makes its World Premiere in Copenhagen at CPH:DOX this March.

"Try 'immigrant slaughters duck'..." I really enjoyed BOTS, a Black Mirror-esque short. The filmmakers sent it to me; they said Invisible Rulers had been an inspiration, which is very cool. It's a funny, pointed take on manipulation. Enjoy a Sunday night mini-movie: www.youtube.com/watch?v=75Ct...

We’re trying something a little different here post #TIFF50. 👀 🤖 Office-based bots sow discord and division in Rich Williamson's biting satire about the disturbing influence of unstable forces controlling global politics. ▶️ BOTS is now streaming in full on our YouTube channel: youtu.be/75CtJktAE2w

Why must make a short film when you can also make a TV pilot at the same time? That's the plan, at least, for a few enterprising Canadian filmmakers at #TIFF50 www.theglobeandmail.com/arts/film/ti...

📰 Fresh from the official #TIFF50 programme: "A unit of dedicated bots scheme chaos and divisiveness from their office desks in Rich Williamson’s wickedly humorous and sharp satirical take on the absurd amount of power relinquished to the unhinged forces steering world politics."
