MattBatt @computergeek06.bsky.social · 08/09/2026We won't need any killer's watts. All we need is some electrizzical. 011
MattBatt @computergeek06.bsky.social · 29/07/2026Halloween already?! I guess I should just be grateful it's not Christmas... 000
MattBatt @computergeek06.bsky.social · 07/05/2026Tried something new that I could share with my wonderful @thatlldosammy.bsky.social - and I also found equally tasty to actual ground beef! 000
MattBatt @computergeek06.bsky.social · 30/04/2026@deviantollam.bsky.social found this on Facebook...can't tell if its legit or not. Is it just me or does proximity "selected" buttons in a cramped space like an elevator seem like a really bad idea? 330
MattBatt @computergeek06.bsky.social · 12/04/2026Grinder and paint makes me the welder I ain't...yeah I know, I didn't perfectly feather the metal down on the edges but its a lawnmower deck, it'll be fine... 000
MattBatt @computergeek06.bsky.social · 01/04/2026@cpsc.gov if you liked those you'll LOVE the 240V versions! Maybe you prefer one of the plethora of other sites if they aren't on Amazon anymore? 000
MattBatt @computergeek06.bsky.social · 27/03/2026These plastic storage bins have a warning saying you can't store children in them, but that seems like such a efficient way to store a child...no? 000
MattBatt @computergeek06.bsky.social · 24/01/2026Its like watching a warp core breach in slow motion...but the ejection system is offline... 020
MattBatt @computergeek06.bsky.social · 27/12/2025Important note if you have a heat pump, those need extra controls for "heat pump" reverse+compressor vs "aux heat" white! I built a box with some relays and jumpers to account for that. Pictures - (1) photo of box I made; (2) wiring diagram (3/4) wiring diagram vs original in block diagram format. 220
MattBatt @computergeek06.bsky.social · 08/12/2025While I would love to say whoever designed this headlight bulb position should be strangled, that would be far too easy. They should be forced to install an uninstall headlight bulbs until the end of time. 000
MattBatt @computergeek06.bsky.social · 14/11/2025"soon"?????? You mean now? These things already exist and some people use them...and I've met plenty who intentionally keep HUGE hitches sticking way out "to punish anyone who tailgates and save their bumper" 110
MattBatt @computergeek06.bsky.social · 28/10/2025@deviantollam.bsky.social If the little push lever thing is broken off does that mean it's probably impossible to exit this door when the electronic striker locks after hours? Like it might be possible to be locked in after going downstairs to evacuate? 200
MattBatt @computergeek06.bsky.social · 11/10/2025@techconnectify.bsky.social As for prices, they were about double what you were talking about...and the BestBuy orders had some delays in shipping. Some rough prices for your comparison of the ones I could find the order info about: 000
MattBatt @computergeek06.bsky.social · 11/10/2025@techconnectify.bsky.social Your video on DVDs - my Star Trek DS9 "all in one" seems to be double-layer discs. Purchased online BestBuy in 2021. Others Star Trek (even from Amazon) also run ~2GB per 40 min episode/1GB per 30 min episode. I did have some faulty scratched Amazon discs exchanged. 100
MattBatt @computergeek06.bsky.social · 06/10/2025That sounds like a lot of potential fun! Reminds me of the old HP custom Ready messages...I liked to change it to "Raedy" which had people scratching their head but unable to quite place what was wrong... blog.mbcharbonneau.com/2007/01/22/c... 050
MattBatt @computergeek06.bsky.social · 05/10/2025Got my shots for the season....now need a small reward for the anxiety over needles...... 000
MattBatt @computergeek06.bsky.social · 19/09/2025Good news, some of the other fire safety related devices are not painted over! 210
MattBatt @computergeek06.bsky.social · 13/09/2025Uh, @deviantollam.bsky.social when did it become okay to paint over fire alarm annunciators? I swear my friends end up with the sketchiest landlords... 100
MattBatt @computergeek06.bsky.social · 11/09/2025I guess at least he died for something he believed in? Like wtf I can't see how that's reasonable to be like "well some people should die", but if its gonna happen...may as well be to someone who feels that's acceptable? Seems kinda like Lord Farquad... 000
MattBatt @computergeek06.bsky.social · 01/09/2025I have my more fire and less fire prepared. Except the more fire is struggling. That wasn't a request, it was a command. Time to bring out the "there will be fire" 000
MattBatt @computergeek06.bsky.social · 21/08/2025Or not, and I just won't look at it right now. Because it had a chance to download stuff last night automatically and did, why on earth does everything have to be mandatory updated literally every time an update comes out at every hour of the day. 000
MattBatt @computergeek06.bsky.social · 27/07/2025Ok ... doesn't look like the CV boot is wet but something else is. No idea. Ugh. 000
MattBatt @computergeek06.bsky.social · 14/07/2025I mounted ours under the island...white "kitchen" one nearer the stove, red "general purpose" one on the end facing the living-room. And yes, I know, need to take out the cardboard recycling. But yeah that keeps them both readily-accessible/visible and also recessed from being bumped/spilled on. 010
MattBatt @computergeek06.bsky.social · 13/07/2025Giant 20+ft water slide, lots of fun but apparently 10/10 faster and more fun wearing much less. No pictures of that portion because nighttime and reasons. Would do again. 020
MattBatt @computergeek06.bsky.social · 07/07/2025This is such a useless error.... @deviantollam.bsky.social you seen this before? Seems to last way more than the 30 sec it says when these systems choke 210
MattBatt @computergeek06.bsky.social · 07/07/2025But I thought Trump said the states should be handling their own disasters not the feds??? 000
MattBatt @computergeek06.bsky.social · 06/07/2025Elevators are so bad that they won't even let you attempt to request to go anywhere anymore... 100
MattBatt @computergeek06.bsky.social · 05/07/2025From Play Store get the official Pebble bee app that you can open and click the button then hit update and there's an (i) hint to put the tracker in discover mode and update. MattBatt @computergeek06.bsky.social · 29/06/2025Maybe time to upgrade your driveway entrance with some ornamental brick posts with a mailbox in one? Reenforced concrete field and set say 6-8ft deep footings for stability of course. 110
MattBatt @computergeek06.bsky.social · 24/06/2025Try some A/C, and if you get hungry apparently this one its fine to eat the batteries in the remote, as long as you go brush your teeth and see a doctor after? Unknown make/model, was an older pic from one my parents had some years ago. 000
MattBatt @computergeek06.bsky.social · 24/06/2025I actually tried to compare a couple hours in car temp last year with/without a sun shade in different parts of the car. I accidentally partially melted the plastic casing of the thermometer sensor that was on the dashboard. Yes, that's 210F on the dashboard.and near 150F up on the shaded headrest 011
MattBatt @computergeek06.bsky.social · 23/06/2025100, 53% humidity, feels like 121. Well at least it's getting into the evening with the sun setting so it should go down. *Checks again* 99.9F, 57%, feels like 125F *Dies* 000
MattBatt @computergeek06.bsky.social · 19/06/2025So lesson learned, don't lift the handle on these locks to open the door with an overhand grip.....OW! Major pinch/crush hazard for hands between the handle and combo dial case! Thought it would be easier to open the 50 lb door lifting up. @deviantollam.bsky.social you tried this by chance? 300
MattBatt @computergeek06.bsky.social · 15/06/2025So apparently the allen screw that keeps it dogged keeps working loose and at least once locked them out. So back to my original plan.....one ziptie holds it so I applied 4 of them... 110
MattBatt @computergeek06.bsky.social · 12/06/2025Is it bad I can't even tell which thing this applies to because there's too many at once? 21362
MattBatt @computergeek06.bsky.social · 07/06/2025You clearly missed the opportunity to have a contest of who can provide the best photo of a flashlight collection! Also may I suggest power-failure lights that plug in and will automatically give you light for key areas like bathroom/stairway/halls? I like these AmerTac brand ones. 130
MattBatt @computergeek06.bsky.social · 06/06/2025OK - who else has a collection going? If you don't, I dare you to try and catch up! P.S. I really love the Fenix PD35R, which has earned my every day carry. USB-C charge, replaceable 18650 Lithium-Ion, also can use disposable 123A Lithium. Can throw a tight beam 100s of ft or dim for close-up. 000
MattBatt @computergeek06.bsky.social · 06/06/2025Instructions unclear, can't tell if any of these are "real" flashlights. Preparing to obtain additional flashlights in the quest to find a "real" one. ...well shoot now I gotta redistribute these back thru the house after the picture... 010
MattBatt @computergeek06.bsky.social · 01/06/2025This did do absolute wonders for how quickly I was able to rip my collection of Star Trek discs... Basically I could have an entire season ripping simultaneously. Still wouldn't saturate gigabit network. 010
