This graph compares the solar energy coming in [black line] against the energy escaping [red line]. The imbalance has more than tripled in 22 years. That energy is rapidly heating the planet and is causing system collapse right now The window for a smooth transition has closed From @leonsimons.com
A NASA graph which plots both the Absorbed Solar Radiation, (a black line) and the Outgoing Radiation from the earth, (a red line).
The space between is shaded in yellow and represents the earth's energy imbalance. It shows the imbalance has increased from 0.38 in 2004 to 1.43 in 2026. [Measured in watts/sq mtr.]

This is the board of the Hair and Barber Council. All corporate lackeys. Not a single Turk, Uzbek, or Kurd. The only non-white person is there as a rep for the Kao Corp, (a chemical/cosmetics comp). None presently work as hairdressers.

It's because prioritisation is upside down. We have normalised that the faster vehicle always goes first. We must utterly invert this hierarchy.
'Modal priority based on vulnerability of road users.' With pedestrians (and rollers) at the top, then cyclists, then public t'port, then powered two-wheelers, (though they should go above public t'port), then cars, then good vehicles, (buses should be here). This 'can improve road safety in cities'.

The last thylacinus died in captivity on this day 90 yrs ago. Of course, they were hunted to extinction as they were considered a danger to livestock. Though it's now thought they only hunted small prey. Being marsupials they had pouches, both sexes in fact. And could open their mouths really wide.
Picture of two thylacinus in a zoo. Colloquially known as the Tasmanian Tiger, though of course they are unrelated. They have a canine like head and body, with an extended butt and stiff tail. They have upright short rounded ears. A mostly brown coat but with distinctive black stripes across their backs, extending longer over their haunches.

Remember when they kept trying to push this shitty clipart on us, and we were like nooope? And shamed anyone who used it or comic sans... We gotta keep doing that. All those people saying it is inevitable. It is not.

This model should be dictating what real change would look like. I know, due to motonormativity, that this concept is a step too far, even for many transit and cycling advocates. But I think these things need to be consider, esp in inner urban areas. It will result in far fewer car journeys.
Graph showing the 'hierarchy of road users'.
Showing walkers at the top (it really should show rollers as well), then cyclists, (horses should be here), then public transport, (tho I disagree on buses which are essentially trucks, and should be treated as such), Powered Two Wheelers, cars (vans), and then finally goods vehicles etc. The blurb says: 'Modal priority based on vulnerability of road users CAN IMPROVE ROAD SAFETY IN CITIES'.

Drought or the muted effect of eclipsed sunlight? Trick question - It's both.
Photo taken during the 2026 solar eclipse of the Downs in Bristol. Mostly a grassy field and a few trees dotted around. The ground is yellow. A number of people are scattered through the scene, some sat down, others walking. The grass is parched from a lack of rain.

The Logo for the 2012 London Summer Olympics was widely and rightly derided at the time, so an unofficial competition started up to come up with a better one. This was mine. But they were all better than what London had paid millions to some design twats to create.
Very unofficial logo of the 2012 London Summer Olympic Games. At the bottom is a stylised outline of the Thames in blue, with a circle to represent the O2 Arena. Above that is a flowing and circular rendering of the word 'London', incorporating the Olympics symbol (5 different colour circles) using the O, D, and O. And the number '2012' can be seen by the way 'Lon' is drawn.

For me, this is the more interesting hierarchy. I think this is what should actually be applied by law to urban roads... Like, literally the car drivers have to see themselves as guests in the streets & travel at speeds which ensure that every pedestrian/roller can go where they want when they want.
