Oh wow that's awesome! I have sworn off physically buying X-Men. I just don't want it to open a door that my wallet can't handle.

I tried doing it with Jay And Miles Xplain back in the early days. I deff missed a lot of minis. I literally just learned about Kitty Pryde and Wolverine mini recently. I stuck mostly to Uncanny/new mutants and a few others.

Defund and abolish ICE. Melt down their weapons and shift its budget to social services and affordable housing. Ban everyone who led or worked for ICE from any government job. Corporate death penalty for the companies that aided them. Citizenship to all of its victims, should they want it.

This cover left an impression. I wish I knew what happened to it along with my script to Batman And Robin issue 18(the silent issue).

I don't remember if I got there ever. I have the urge to do a full Claremont read. I never finished the late 80s/90s the last I tried, when the app was worse, and before that was Essentials and no clue how far I got there.

For years I thought Wolverine 79 was my first comic. There's also a chance I had the magazine issue of Death of Superman around the same time. That one just disintegrated though. Both are lost, but I love having a coverless old comic.

Top Shelf Friday time, what's a comic in your collection that you love? ❤️ My oldest and probably first comic. My personal copy is missing the cover. As it should be for your first comic.

Current novel - Toxic Internet Culture, the book. The first 50 pages were pretty dark and easy to read at the same time. The signed page has the best advice in the world, which I'm about to take. #booksky

Today on Okazu – Navigating With You Volume 2 Okazu Staff Writer Ashley was pleasantly surprised by Navigating With You, Volume 2, as the narrative extends beyond high school into Gabby and Neesha’s futures, with a greater emphasis on community. okazu.yuricon.com/2026/10/07/n...

The cover of Navigating With You volume 2. The cover shows the main characters Neesha and Gabby facing away from each other but holding each others hand. They are also each holding the hand of another character. These other characters are barely shown on the cover and are walking off the sides of the image. In a way pulling the two main characters away from each other. The background is similarly divided between a school corridor on Neesha's side and a beach on Gabby's side.

I'm interested in seeing the money laundering. I've had to take an anti-money Laundering training every year since I was 19. Let's see if it paid off.

Tonight dear readers I take a break from my regularly scheduled Krakoa(because of App issues) and I read Wolverine and Kitty Pryde. In which out hero goes to Japan and forgets cameras exist. She also finds out her dad is being forced to launder money. Logan is there for a panel.

I've been trying to eat Vegan one-two days a week. So far here are the meals I've discovered. 1. Salsa straight from the jar with a spoon 2. A can of chili beans with a can of chili peppers microwaved. 3. Rice + some combination of things one and two.

For the man who has everything. We all know the story, but if you don't you should. Perhaps now more relevant than ever, Superman is trapped in a fantasy world where his desires come true while Batman, Robin and Wonder Woman help to get him out.

Vic from Comic Books Beyond @comicbooksbeyond.bsky.social · 08/10/2026

So this Marvel Brick line has some potential. I historically have had bad luck with Compendiums. My WD's shredded after one read, but just the fact that Marvel is printing something and using the word "Evergreen" is good. Cautious optimism here - print all of Claremont and Max lines.

Lamo, right? We sat down and there was no real incentive/group ice breaker. Just a "thanks for coming, let's play bingo." I usually see one of the people that run it on Thursday nights, so I'm making a few suggestions. Coincidentally, a local drag queen is pretty popular and might want to help.

Sounds like they're refunding Unlimited and you get a discount to the new app if you have an existing subscription. They'll let you port your reading progress as well. It's probably a net positive for Marvel, but unclear how that impacts creators on Webtoon/DC series on Webtoon

000

Vic from Comic Books Beyond @comicbooksbeyond.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

More or less Marvel partnered with Webtoon, and is creating a new app. You'll be allowed to port all your stuff from Unlimited to The New Marvel Comic App. I believe there will be tiers to get new comics quicker. Unlimited is sunsetting 12/7. New app in Nov.

I write in the horror and post apocalyptic genres primarily. I do have a story where a major plot point is a group of survivors finding a replacement for swords.
