You know what might help with this? Economics/civics classes, early on and all through grade school. Maybe help people be better educated voters. Often people think that One Person or One Party can magically move these global levers if he/they just Say The Right Things, and the pols exploit that.

The weaselly way they spin this. “Well, how do *you* know 100%, beyond a doubt, cross your heart hope to die that they don’t cause autism?”, and the classic “They’re Hiding The Truth From You” bit. So pathetic and awful.

Actual CDC page claiming that “it’s not evidence based” to say that vaccines don’t cause autism, and “studies showing a link” have been “ignored by health authorities”.

I used to work for a disaster recovery company in which the owner was formally a pastor who thought he could just jump right into it. Foreman used drugs and actually used the company truck while we were on a job to go score. A coworker screamed at the boss while I was on the phone with him.
