Wow, when you see numbers like this, it really is time to get off dino fuel. According to figures from UK car marketplace Carwow, driving a BMW 320d diesel for 1,000 miles is estimated to cost around £181 ($239) in diesel fuel. For the same distance, charging a BYD Seal electric car is £29.

I bought a BYD Seagull in China and exported it, brought it to Anguilla. An absolutely perfect car and very cheap. We charge it with solar so no energy costs for us. The massive expensive gas guzzlers are history. It's only a matter of time before BYD and other brands get a foothold in America

One of the worst things Canada imported from the US is car dependency. It is both financially and ecologically unsustainable that is bankrupting our cities. If want to build Canada strong, with more affordable and beautiful neighborhoods, we need to fully reject the US scam of car-centric cities.

My little BYD Seagull EV is charged by our solar system. In summer we can sit in it waiting for something for as long as we want at no cost. Our solar system provides all our electricity and charges our car. We converted everything to electricity, no propane.
