Whaddya know, I just finished up a session of the original Command and Conquer, on Sega Saturn, where I used both of them. :P Also, Michael Tracey would totally work for Nod.

I think watching OG Captain Pike get burned alive in the pilot of TOS Star Trek, The Cage. Not much freaked me out as a kid, but that did.

My #dateline snack of some delicious cheese sticks, and spicy sauce. This episode is a doozy, and especially tragic.

Recently, I just started replaying Red Alert Retaliation, on PS1. I'm doing this playthrough with a PS1 mouse, which makes it a lot easier to play. I forgot just how dark this game gets. A good chunk of the Allied campaign is stopping Soviet chemical weapons!

I just so happened to have this Starcraft book on my to-read list just before the new Starcraft announcement. I've only played the first game, but I like how many books and stories this franchise has.

My copy of the book Starcraft: Queen of Blades

This one is super cool!!! This mecha reminds me of something from either the 1974 book The Forever War (probably my favourite book), or the 1996 MS-DOS game Terra Nova.

Here's me with my Star Trek Discovery shirt, in honour of the 60th anniversary of Star Trek! Whether it's the pro-social democracy and diversity setup, or the challenge for humanity to be the best version of itself, or the endless amounts of lore, I've always loved this franchise, and always will.

The #dateline episode that I watched: set in Black Rock Canyon. The game I'm playing rn: Warcraft 1, where the final stage (for the humans, at least) is set at Blackrock Spire. Nice one, Pluto TV.

The Civ II ones are still my favourite, especially with the FMV bickering when they disagree, and the full on arguing in anarchy. I also liked the MS-DOS Civ 1 dictatorship, if you somehow kept it into the modern age.

Keeping it real: these killings on tonight's #dateline remind me of the first Terminator movie, and the T-800's first killing spree.

So #dateline is pre-empted until 3 AM here in Orlando (although given the 19-0 score of that game, the Bucs probably wish their game was on at 3 AM instead), so I'm watching an old Forensic Files episode about hunting a Romanian Nazi war criminal, while munching on some spicy tacos.

Yesterday, about a quarter century after I first played Warcraft 1 on MS-DOS, I finally finished it! I managed to finish the remastered human campaign, thanks to liberal use of jacked water elementals. This game is clunky af, but I still weirdly love it. I'm especially big on the soundtrack.

My uncles on Mom's side of the family were both diehard fans of this show. I haven't really watched it, but I like that my equivalent, Macross/Robotech, has a Thunderbirds plane designed by the creator of that franchise.

Recently, I managed to finally finish the Sega Genesis port of Dune II. Despite their clunkiness, and lack of Zendaya, I love the classic Dune RTS games. As bad as I am at strategy titles, I like that I'm alright at this one, and I love the aesthetics. I like House Atreides best.

I love the side ships of Star Trek (like the Akira, Saladin, and Sabre class ships), and that Franz Joseph book, made by an engineer before personal computers. They add a ton of depth to the universe. I also love the old Apple II/TRS-80 style computers in the early movies, too.

I've recently been playing a bit of the 1996 MS-DOS game Terra Nova. I didn't really play this one growing up, but I've grown to love the unique hybrid mech/soldier feel. It reminds me of book Starship Troopers or The Forever War. The FMV addition throws me back to Wing Commander III (laudatory).

I think the big issue with a planetary shield is making sure these guys stay away from it:

Han Solo, Princess Leia, and some Rebel Marines inside the shield generator from Return of The Jedi.
