It features a snippet from a fic: "Let me," Astarion commands softly, waiting for Gale to nod before he continues.
Dexterous hands untie his wrap shirt before carefully sliding it off—one arm at a time—chaste kisses pressed from shoulder to finger tip as he works. Comfortable silence settles around Gale like a blanket, and he lets his eyes flutter shut as Astarion moves to the ties of his binder. He undoes one side, then the other. Loosens the laces from bottom to top.
The relief is visceral; irritated skin and tight muscles finally freed from their tight confines.
"Arms up, love," Astarion instructs.
He guides the binder over Gale's head when he does as asked, then sets it aside.

🏳️‍⚧️TDOV Spotlight🏳️‍⚧️ @timegrenades.bsky.social is one of our incredible writers! Here’s a sneak peek from the Lae’zel/Shadowheart fic they’re writing for our zine 👀 #bg3 #bg3queer #bg3zine #cotg2

A green, art-nouveau style graphic with flower accents in the colors of the nonbinary pride flag that reads: Colours of the Gate Vol. 2. Attu. they/them. Bsky: timegrenades, ao3: attu. It features a snippet from a fic: Lae’zel hissed and shifted forward to take Shadowheart’s injured hand. Her skin was rough but not unpleasantly so, her grip firm but not too tight, as she inspected the cut. “I can just heal it,” Shadowheart began, trying to take her hand back, but Lae’zel silenced her with another hiss. “Clearly that is not what you were doing,” she replied, removing a length of bandage from her pocket. As she set to wrapping the cloth around Shadowheart’s hand, she said, “My people are not religious. The closest we come is in our veneration of Vlaakith.” She turned away from their bedrolls to spit contemptuously, then continued. “That is something I no longer have to drive me. The fire Vlaakith once lit in my soul is no more.”

It features a snippet of a fic: His attention is drawn toward a car pulling into the lot, and he frowns when it parks and Dekarios steps out of it. Shit. No time to hide my bag. That thought is quickly decimated by the worry that floods him, a flash of gray streaking ahead as Kevin greets his boss by rubbing against his ankles like a traitor. Astarion makes haste, approaching just as Dekarios acknowledges the cat. “Why, good morning to you, too, little stranger.” “Sorry about him,” Astarion exclaims, watching as olive-toned fingers are presented to his cat to sniff. He fights back the urge to snatch Kevin away from Dekarios’ grubby little hands, to hiss at the man as if he himself were a cat.

Hi I’m Roshytsunami and I've been in a lot of fandoms over the years and BG3 just struck a good chord for exploring fun characters and their angst. I’m a sucker for angst hence why some of my favorite characters from the series are Astarion, Karlach, Wyll, and Shadowheart. I hope I can bring something fun and entertaining to this zine. tumblr/ao3: roshytsunami. Writer.

🏳️‍⚧️TDOV Spotlight🏳️‍⚧️ WinterLyre is one of our wonderful writers! Check out a sneak peek of aer writing, and you can look forward to seeing aer Nocturne/Shadowheart piece in our zine 😍 #bg3queer #cotg2

A green, art-nouveau style graphic with flower accents in the colors of the trans and nonbinary pride flags that reads: Colours of the Gate Vol. 2. Winterlyre. ae/aer. ao3/tumblr: winterlyre. Snippet from If They Truly Loved Her. “Can you keep a secret?” Shadowheart asks as she leans back, flat on her feet.
“Always.”
Commotion reaches up from the training grounds that are just out of view, the noise rising past separate wings of the castle. Shadowheart releases her, moving unsteadily enough that Nocturne might fear she would fall if she didn't know better. She backs herself up against the far railing, fidgeting with her gloves.
And then she glows as glorious as the sun, golden threads of light spreading out from her in a radial pattern. Nocturne is blinded, but she doesn't look away, watching as the gold molds into silver, taking shape before her eyes. Shadowheart is a flower abloom, as though petals sprout from her back.
