Heads-up on PPSSPP. Info in the thread on the last versions that don't contain it. The dev has gone off the deep end into Claude is my best friend territory.

So, my opinions on The Witness have softened considerably over the years. Downloading it and playing it again now, with a fresh perspective on puzzle and exploration games thanks to Blue Prince, I came to really appreciate and even enjoy my time with it. That doesn't mean I think its perfect.

LRP: Not the developer of RPHub basically flat out going "I can tolerate repurposed Nazi iconography but I draw the line at fat PoC showing skin." Like what are we doing in this god damn community and why is it ALWAYS racism.

Why the fuck am I doing this to myself YET AGAIN. At least it was on sale for only $4. $4 is an acceptable loss to get irrationally angry and annoyed at this game for 20 hours or so.

Dumb rant but: As a Sagittarius, can I PLEASE request that when people on social media are listing each Zodiac sign as a food or restaurant for funsies, *stop* automatically associating Sagittarius with the “exotic” choice. Especially if it’s the *only* vaguely “ethnic” type option on your list.

I need more suggestions for other exploration-based puzzle games. I'm definitely interested in the full release of Dimhaven BUT I've heard a lot of mixed things on its potential and what you see in the demo VS what the actual game ended up being like.

People should make sure that they WIDELY do not want this to ever come in contact with Magic the Gathering. Not only that, people need to make it VERY CLEAR that if HP ever comes in contact with MtG that they will not only boycott the set but stop supporting MtG ENTIRELY. That is the only solution.

YouTube's continuous enshittification of the ads on the site so that they get more and more frustratingly irritating to force people to pay for YouTube premium is so fucking scummy, Jesus Christ.

33 years ago today, the Stranger stepped onto the dock of Myst Island for the first time. We can still hear the water splashing against the pilings.

The dock of Myst Island from the original version of the game. A wooden dock ends at a spiral staircase that leads up to giant gears on a hillside. A ship is sunk in the water on the right, and parts of buildings are visible on the left.

Tsukihime has presented to me the concept of the "coughing hydrogen baby". Tohno Shiki is at every moment the most dangerous thing in the room, but at the same time, he is a sack of potatoes dropped in the middle of said room, unable to get up by himself.

There’s so many more things that close in on this territory that could be on here but I think this is a pretty good spread. Things that are on the short list include Bloodborne, GoldenEye, Halo, Banjo Kazooie, and Persona 2. They could easily rotate in and replace several of these no problem.

This women's day I'd like to remind you that vore is a female-exclusive power

A furaffinity note sent to a vore artist that reads:
"I have been a loyal follower of your page for almost a year, and have been under the impression that your character, specifically the rabbit, was a female. However, recent revelations have forced me to come into the open and make this account to commune with you. Witness my account, upon seeing the gifts you have purchased for your boyfriend (an imperial pox on ones self for not reading context, like with Mandy!) I realised that you were a homophile, which would in turn mean that your rabbit character is a male.
1 am incredibly displeased at this fact. Firstmost, Vore is generally known as a female-exclusive power. Female predators make up a large amount of all predator characters, thus my asumption. Secondly, I have spent a grand time using your images for the sake of oneristic practises, and 1 am feeling EXTRAORDINARY shame for having practised onerism not only to someone of my male gender, but also to the art of a homophile."

N.K. Jemisin is the first author to win the Hugo Award for Best Novel in 3 consecutive yrs for her Broken Earth series & first to win for all 3 novels in a trilogy. Recipient MacArthur Genius Grant, 2020. She was born #OTD in 1972. Happy Birthday @nkjemisin.bsky.social 🎈 #SciFi #Fantasy #BookSky

A montage portrait of science fiction author N.K. Jemisin. On the left, she appears in a close-up photo with long, dark braided hair, wearing earrings, a delicate necklace with a pendant, a deep maroon sweater, and a shimmering green scarf draped around her neck. She has a calm, confident expression and gazes directly at the camera against a softly blurred dark background. To the right are three stacked book covers of her works. Top: The Fifth Season (The Broken Earth trilogy), with a dark, textured design and metallic title. Middle: The Obelisk Gate, featuring an intricate, glowing red-and-purple circular mandala-like emblem. Bottom: The Stone Sky, showing a dramatic stormy sky with a massive floating obelisk.

The overall composition highlights the author alongside prominent covers from her award-winning Broken Earth series.

The more I think on it the more I really believe OoT Remake’s actual art direction is that of “fantasy fairy tale as viewed through the eyes of a child”. Someone pointed out that Ganondorf and Impa look to be carved from wood, like puppets. Zelda and Link look like Porcelain ball-jointed dolls.
