Also, not shocking to anyone, it turns out that talk was probably mostly bullshit anyway and not representative of even what 37 Signals is doing. www.reddit.com/r/rails/s/thx8...

I don't know what they were thinking with this new McLaren racing logo, but it's not too late to go back.

I still can't believe beavers built this. Nature is amazing.

I got there with this, but I have no idea how I would have without documentation or the ability to look anything up. One thing that sucks about data structure and algorithm interview questions for jobs using Swift is that a lot of them use strings, and string slicing in Swift is the worst.

Saw this post from Will Buxton when asked why he'd leave F1 for IndyCar — "Because IndyCar has the greatest racing on Earth." I'm sure moving to commentary box and a fat paycheck didn't hurt, but he's not _wrong_. F1 is more about the engineering than wheel to wheel. Both are great. #F1 #IndyCar

I'm thinking of getting a checkered flag tattoo like this. Where should I get it? I was thinking either my upper arm or my forearm. I've never gotten a tattoo before.

I've read 13 books since the end of April, which feels impossible, since I haven't been trying all that hard and going at a natural pace. Gotta pick what's next.

Considering I didn't start reading any books until the last week of April, I think I'm doing pretty well.

This is absolutely true and something I am trying to understand and adapt myself to.

Screenshot It’s not so easy, because when you are the boss people really do not want to criticize you or to tell you what they really think. Along with the position, you inherit a bunch of assumptions that have nothing to do with who you really are. The role often changes people’s impression of you in ways that can be bewildering.

Still weird seeing Kmart around. From what I can tell, they've been totally separate from the US brand, which closed their last full sized store a couple years ago, for a while. The store I've been to is basically like a worse Target (in the US), but not terrible.

Here's the basic layout I'm working with in Logic Pro. As I add more categories of things, I'll create summing stacks (busses) for those, as well with their own send tracks for global fx. This is a fairly good translation of how I'd set things up on a console, although it looks a lot different.
