This is actually a great report. Straight to the point and explains the draws that people have to physical media compared to streaming very well. youtu.be/KUdBpyY4r5Q

And now, for something I don't collect often: A used book! Specifically, a promotional tie-in with the 2012 3D-converted reissue of Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace, originally written by @infinata.bsky.social and translated into Portuguese back in the day. No 3D glasses, but not to worry!

The cover for the Brazilian edition of the Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace 3D book can be seen to the top right of the screen, with one of my own pair of Anaglyph 3D glasses alongside it.

This copy's own DIY 3D glasses set did not come with the listing I ordered.

This is not the only time someone from my mutual base earned a coveted title on physical media today! The other person was me.

The slipcover for a used Brazilian copy of the 2002 2-disc set for the 20th Anniversary edition of E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982).

As I've been delving into my Illumination hyperfixation recently, I remembered something... I...have...MINIONS!!!! More info on the Alt text.

A shot of my (somewhat dusty) bedroom shelf, focusing particularly on my "army" of Minion toys I've managed to collect over the years. Some of them are from Happy Meal tie-ins, while others are Cinemark collectibles that they sold around the time Despicable Me 3 was coming out (you can tell because of their prison overalls), and the Bob one on the right is an openable Kinder egg recepticle.

I recently ordered the Brazilian DVD of Onward, and I was shocked to see that it, unlike its nothern equivalents, not only has FastPlay, but "Sneak Peeks" for Soul and Jungle Cruise! All relics of a bygone era, for sure. For more context, read the description below: www.youtube.com/watch?v=rhUL...

Here's my collection of all of the DVDs featuring the short films produced by both Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar Animation Studios! The Pixar ones are my proudest ownings, but the WDAS one is also endlessly charming.

From left to right (all in their Brazilian packages and releases):

-The internationally-released and repackaged 2-disc set featuring the first two volumes of the Pixar Short Films Collection, packaged in typical DVD cover with a uniquely shiny cover art
-The 2015 release of the Walt Disney Animation Studios Short Films Collection
-The 2018 release of Volume 3 of the Pixar Short Films Collection, packaged individually

Out of all of the hilarious moments featured in Finding Nemo's audiovisual commentary with Andrew Stanton, Lee Unkrich and Bob Peterson, this has got to be up there as one of my absolute favorite "audio" parts. Go check this out in full on the 2003 DVD if you can, it's absolutely worth it!

To celebrate the release of the Ice Age: Boiling Point teaser yesterday, as well as in honor of Blue Sky Studios, here's my personal DVD collection of some of the films they've released over the years! More info in the Alt text.

From top to bottom:

-Ice Age (original DVD with bonus features)
-Ice Age (Extreme Cool Edition set released in Latin America to promote the release of Robots, plus with the "Frozen Pairs" & "Hide and Eek" DVD games, and the Extreme Cool View feature on disc 2)
-Robots
-Ice Age 2: The Meltdown (original Latin American DVD release, with plain menus, no bonus features and no English audio or subtitle tracks)
-Ice Age 2: The Meltdown (limited edition 2-disc set, featuring all of the things mentioned above)
-Horton Hears a Who! (2013 reprint with "Blue Sky APRESENTA" and newer cover art)
-Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs (limited edition TrioScopics DVD, featuring both 3D and 2D versions on the same disc)

Overall, as much as I sometimes wanna get other Blue Sky titles into my collection, I'm pretty happy with the ones I own. I mostly (as a collector, fan & periodic researcher on animation) love the stuff included on the first two Ice Age films' DVDs as well as the Horton one. Have a good one y'all!

Last but not least is Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs' limited edition TrioScopics 3D release. This release, unlike the US equivalent, features both the 2D and 3D versions of the film on the same disc. It is also a simple DVD, but this one's rarity and certain nostalgic attachment still interests me.

Next up is Horton Hears a Who! (more specifically a 2013 reprint of the film) Admittedly my favorite original Blue Sky Studios film, although others come close. This DVD is what made me both fall in love with the movie and with Blue Sky's qualities as an experimental, large-scale animation studio.

...this limited edition 2-disc set for the film, which is a practice that was also adopted in other international territories. Among the cool things featured in this release are localized title cards and closing credits for the film itself, as well as Lee Ryan's "Real Love" music video.

Speaking of which, the original Latin American release of Ice Age 2: The Meltdown is a very nostalgic for me, yet a simple DVD. As stated in the Alt text in the opening for this thread, this DVD features no bonuses, a simple menu, and no English tracks. That's because all of that is featured in...

Next, here's Robots. The Latin American release of ths film has slightly less bonus features compared to the US and other territories, but this is still a goldmine of content for Blue Sky fans. Plus, this still features the Ice Age 2 sneak peek!

...the Extreme Cool Edition of the film, which is a 2-disc set for the film released in international territories from 2005 to promote Robots, now featuring the "Extreme Cool View" feature on disc 2. A similar release would come to the US a year later, under the name of "Super Cool Edition".

To start off, here are my two releases of Ice Age that I own on DVD, one being an early-to-mid 2000s release of the film, featuring most of the bonus features from the US set from around this time, which they maanged to cram into one disc over here, and the other is...

Hi everyone! Welcome to my Collectibles lounge! I might start showing off my DVDs and other items once my next batch of DVDs I ordered comes next week. Until then, here's a little video showing off the Pixar ball that I collected recently at a Toy Story exhibition! www.youtube.com/watch?v=VdX4...
