My high school had a lip sync contest. My friends and I chose Crazy Train, and I was Ozzy. I filled a rubber bat with hamburger meat, and during the solo I bit its head off and spat it into the lap of the head cheerleader. Huge respect to #ozzy and thanks for showing us another way.

The Sword Defiant by Gareth Hanrahan is exactly what I was looking for right now. Well written high fantasy in a vivid world, with political squabbles and factions threatening to tear apart an alliance against a clear evil. Plus an excellent exploration of the elven perspective on immortality.

Speaking of bourbon, Your Excellency, what's your favorite everyday bourbon? My local shop turned me on to Four Roses Small Batch, and I've found 1792 on sale at Costco to be an excellent choice as well. Both cheap enough you don't feel bad about mixing, but 100% solid enough to stand on their own.
