After last night's XTC listening party @mealygarage.bsky.social alerted me to her blog highlighting Squeeze's relatively poor chart placings. XTC, Squeeze, (I'd add Prefab Sprout). Great pop songs. The difference between Squeeze and XTC was that Squeeze did get more airplay until the first split, with arguably more accessible songs. Makes the flops even more baffling. 110
