Completed a 1/72nd scale Mirage F.1C (Hasagwa Hobby Kits). Each of the 6 roundels is comprised of 3 layers of circular transfers, so I had to use some precision decal positioning!

Trump sues everybody over everything, comedians, critics, networks, anyone who bruises his ego. But notice who he never seems eager to sue: the women accusing him, or the people saying far worse things about him. IMO, he knows he would not survive discovery.

Starting wars and not finishing them (especially over oil) is a very American thing to do. Just saying.

Yesterday, we adopted a rescue hedgehog from the local hedgehog hospital. We placed it in a hedgehog hibernation box. Later that evening, it emerged and did some exploring! www.youtube.com/watch?v=Otw7...

I am currently at 185 species out of 1000 for the year, which is good, but I am behind schedule by 78. The year is still long, and I am yet to get any dragonflies, or do moth trapping. I have been focusing on ground beetles which means lots of log flipping! #PSL @sussexwildlife.bsky.social

You don't start an illegal war and then ask NATO to help finish it. NATO is there to protect fellow members who are attacked. If you can't grok that you shouldn't be a leader.

Trump is being a hostile toddler-like idiot towards the UK, it's time to call it quits on the "special relationship" and cancel all state visits for US presidents to the UK until things improve.

In 1980, Intel released the 8087 floating-point chip, making math much faster. I'm reverse-engineering this chip, 46 years later. Most of its instructions are implemented in microcode, but some are implemented in hardware. Let's look at the circuitry that decodes instructions and decides what to do.

A die photo of the 8087 chip, with the main functional blocks labeled. The chip is a tan rectangle with complex patterns in dark brown. Many of the patterned regions are textured rectangles. One of the largest rectangles is the microcode ROM in the middle. The bottom half of the chip is the datapath, performing operations on floating-point numbers. The instruction decoding happens in the upper left. Around the edges of the chip, bond wires connect the chip to the 40 external pins, but the pins are not visible, just short segments of the bond wires.

Watch out vampires - we've got a crack team of stake-holders! Katie Bell, Youth Action Officer, led a leaky dam building collab at Woods Mill nature reserve, between our Youth Rangers and the regular Friday Conservation volunteers. Leaky dams help prevent flooding.

A woman kneels on grass, carving a wooden stick with a knife. She wears a yellow shirt and red gloves, surrounded by wood pieces.

A small, handmade wooden leaky dam constructed with sticks and branches, partially submerged in a muddy, shallow water area surrounded by grass.
