C14th effigy of a priest located on the north (penitential) side of the chancel altar at Bircham Newton, All Saints, w Norfolk. Carved above his head is an image of the sun together with that of a child. In 1832 the tomb was opened and intriguingly beside the skeleton of a man was that of a child.
