I feel like 2025 is off to good start when I stumble across a free copy of a MAD paperback from 1977 🤓😜

Happy New Year Everyone! Lots of great potential in the future year. Trying to open myself to new directions in my creative life for both me and my family. ❤️ Looking forward to seeing folks IRL. (thanks to Austin Kleon for the inspiration and motivation)

Favourite 90s band (I’ve gotten drunk a few times with one of them. Can you guess which one?)

Why didn’t anyone tell me about this rad paranormal investigation podcast before? Currently binging and 24+ episodes in

Colin Geddes @colingeddes.bsky.social · 12/12/2024

Another gem. Do I put this up on eBay for some extra Christmas money? Great colours in this one.

snaps of some of what I dug up when I moved the contents of my vault. What else will I uncover? 👻

Man. I miss my Adventure People. Where on did they go? At what age did I move on to other interests and what were those? I think about this with my son now as he cycles out of books, toys and grows out of clothes. 🥲

My Fisher Price Adventure People were regularly being attacked by frogs, worms and the ultimate peril, being chewed up by a dog.

Can’t fully express how much I LOVE the collage in the WC at Black Pony Cafe here in Toronto. Oh, and the coffee is good too!

My son has been obsessed with the replicas of Shin Ultraman’ “beta capsules” (the device that triggers his transformation) and his birthday is in April so in the meantime, he had me make one. He thinks it is “The Best” and kept it by his bedside last night in case any kaiju attacked 😍

At first glance, a colouring book arts and crafts project by my son but the rocket has a stowaway and an offer… #xenomorphforever

How I’m spending my birthday 🎉🎉🎉😷

Still finding my way here and this was helpful. And this example of Bluesky vs Twitter resonates. My feed over there is full of hate and people I’d never stand and listen IRL. little-flying-robots.ghost.io/the-great-bl...

A proud moment in replying to a phishing scam… it ended quickly.

Hmmmm. Less than inspired poster design, Universal and Netflix…. (OSS 117 is a parody of the Euro spy genre from 2006 starring Jean Dujardin)

From the previously mentioned era… That time I took a break from promoting a film in a gorilla suit to stop in and get the Existenz graphic novel signed by David Cronenberg. He was a little confused by my getup.

Post you from another era. Helping to promote the Rolling Thunder release of Mighty Peking Man w my pal Katya as the jungle babe. I vacuumed my apartment wearing that costume. Made household chores way more fun

Have you ever read the series “Critical Failures” - it’s a hilarious D&D RPG romp. Highly recommend the audio book.

Years ago at a yard sale I found a box of photos belonging to a paparazzi photographer. Wish I bought the whole box but I snagged these two gems.

I was disappointed cause clearly I was expecting a different RED ONE.

Spent the day with @katarinag.bsky.social talking to participants at the Development Lab at the Blood in the Snow film fest that focuses on Canadian made horror. Some exciting and scary new voices are getting discovered here!

Cult Movies and the original Psychotronic were both pivotal books for me, Christmas gifts from my parents when I was in high school. I bow down before those and a few others every time I sit down at my desk.
