No tail like a De Havilland tail….

This is the Lincoln Highway, Highway 30, the first trans-continental highway in 1913. This is the greatness he wants to resurrect.
Black and white picture of an early automobile on a road that is entirely mud. The car is sunk up to the center hubs of its wheels. Deep ruts stretch away to the horizon, the driver is hunched determinedly over the steering wheel. If he steps out of the car he will be in mud up past his knee.

It’s the Ahabian School of “I will blow myself up to kill you too”
Khan from Star Trek 2 quotes Captain Ahab “From Hell’s heart I stab at thee” as he sets off the Genesis weapon to destroy himself and the Enterprise

Ever so slightly out of gas.
Picture of Iowa ditch taken from side of I-35 green grass leading to a corn field. Late in afternoon, yellow, purple and white wildflowers growing in patches.

It’s like the cheap Temu knockoff of this thing, but without as much off-road street cred
A thoroughly badass air-cooled VW Beetle, blue with knobby tires, faded paint and one mismatched fender, painted oxide red. It has a large (for a Beetle) trailer hitch that will probably be used to tow cyber trucks to the scrapyard after the apocalypse.
