Does she think he came from another country in a boat without a visa? Does she want to deport the prime minister?

Yeah right. HS2 cost more than double that and they didn't even finish it.....who thinks this'll get off the ground? At best, it'll protect inside the M25 and maybe the home counties. You know, the only parts of the country they care about.

Maybe they should stop buying Starbucks and avocado toast.....you can feed a family on 30p....it's obviously a budgeting issue.....they can't manage their money.

Think Labour would have ruled out working with them anyway. Reform or the Tories on the other hand........

It sounds like another banking situation. TalkTalk considered too big to fail, but this time rather than nationalising in all but name, they got BT to "buy" it while wiping out all debt.....sounds like a win-win for BT, which has always been too big to fail.

If they can't afford childcare, maybe they should stop buying avocado toast and Starbucks coffees.

Farage stood for parliament about 40 thousand times before getting elected.....why should anyone else, even Zack, be any different.

Think tanks will parrot the lines of whoever finds them. After the Reform allegations on Channel 4, it seems pollsters do the same. Can either of them be trusted?

Because generally, young people don't vote Tory. When you get older, you navel gaze about "back in my day"

That's a relief, he was right about the tuition fee thing as well.

Think there's plenty of people wanting to buy homes.....don't think there's very many will pass the affordability checks as house prices have outstripped wages for decades. Something has to give. Either wages shoot up..or house prices fall. If there's none getting built, it props up the price.

Just a thought.....the UK has spent the last 10 years calling Europeans enemies and coming up with ways to expel them all.... maybe they don't like us.

Scotland is in a similar situation. But we can only send our electricity to England. The interconnectors are not big enough, they'd melt if we sent everything we could, so we have to switch off the wind farms and pay the companies for the privilege.

"Died in exile in England" No wonder Farage wants to send him back to France....he was a refugee who came over in a boat!

But yet in Britain, there's political parties clamouring for a US style system.

While not perfect....it seems a lot better than the privatised English system. (At least when I talk about it when I speak to my English based colleagues at work)

It's not Britain's water system.... Scotland's water system was never privatised.

This sounds like the scheme the last government did. Ended up paying people off then bringing the same people in in lower or no wages.

I went to the movies yesterday and by the time the commercials and trailers were over, the movie I wanted to see had been replaced by its sequel.

"Holyrood arithmetic and voting system for being a potential barrier to his party winning power" Remember how the voting system was designed to keep the SNP in opposition forever?

Nothing like an EDF....was billed as that, but turns out it's an investment thing to get companies in. All Aberdeen got was an office, about 10 people and a brass plaque - not what was touted.

What methodology does it use? Apparently a lot of polls use the 2014 demographic weighting....which leads to a higher representation of the "No" vote.

Space is so vast. It's like being in a boat in the middle of the Atlantic, leaning over the side and filling a cup and coming to the conclusion that there's no sharks anywhere in the ocean.

2/ If we increase the rollout of solar panels and battery storage, it'll also increase energy security as the system would have better redundancy built in. There wouldn't be a single target for someone to target.

1/ Decouple the electricity price from gas and institute regional pricing, based on where electricity is generated will bring down bills hugely. Will also help accelerate the move away from gas.

Won't work, theyll continue to price gouge but write off some of the profits to "licensing" till they come down to whatever limit is set. Oh! And the same parent company will hold the license that they need.

It will be the same as every year since I was at school..30 years ago. If the pass mark goes up, opposition politicians will say the tests were too easy. If the pass mark goes down, they will say the education system is falling. All the time forgetting the pressure and effort of those sitting exams

Surely being the leader of the council, it's reasonable to criticise him for council decisions. I'm sure if there was praise for a council decision that named him personally he wouldn't object?

By that logic, imagine how much more money we'd have by working 12 hour days 7 days a week. We might even be able to afford to put the heating on......

Hopefully, they'll do it the same way Ashley took Rangers. Wait for them to go bust, then buy all the business and the assets, but none of the debt for £1

Colin Thomson @colin1234.bsky.social · 20/07/2026
I can see that making sense. Lower earners get more money in their pocket, they'll most likely spend it.....higher rate will most likely stick it on an ISA or offshore it.

Surely if TW goes bust, the gov can buy everything except the debt for £1? Sure that's what Mike Ashley did with Rangers?

What should have happened after the 2014 referendum was the HOC should have become the devolved English parliament, and the HoL should have been elected to deal with foreign affairs and defence. Everything else should have been at the devolved parliaments.
