I think it was maybe the GOaT 555. Better than Deer Creek I think.

I guess considering her awesomeness $73 is not at all a bad price to pay.

I have been checking too. Hoping they come down closer to the show.

The festival is a fundraiser for EC’s addiction treatment center. I imagine that explains some of Trey’s interest. That and being able to hang play with some amazing players.

Haha. Yes! If i can leave VT by 4 AM I too would run the gauntlet lol. That won’t be happening this time though. My ex is from Ocean City…. So many drives that way.

I feel that. I am going to break my never travel on show day rule. It can be a rough drive on a Friday to south Jerz sometimes. My favorite time to make the drive is mid day. And I almost always take the long way around and go tappen zee to the top of the Garden State. Maybe I Will see you there.

The fact it’s some of the last recordings of the incredible Clarence White makes it haunting to listen to. Such a great player.

Muleskinner-1974 David Grisman,Peter Rowan,John Kahn, Richard Greene,Bill Keith, Clarence White & John Guerin. This is a great album. This 1979 repress sounds incredible. On the awesome Texas Bluegrass label Ridge Runner. Really good stuff on here. Check it out if you can find one.

Added this to the collection this weekend. A UK 1st press of Madcap. Beautiful condition. A really lucky find. I wonder how this thing ended up in rural New Hampshire? #vinylcommunity #nowspinning

Cornhole league at the Legion just sounds like Upstate NY. Quintessential. Like dart league in the winter. I moved away 30 years again and I am giving serious thought to loving back home after all this time. Your experience is encouraging me to get serious about it.

“ a few weeks” seems insane and their probably is a town ordinance that limits how long a car sit on a street.

As a person who grew up in the country and lives in the country still i never had a house with strt pking in front of it before. I just recently learned this is rude. Always assumed if it was public street parking people could park anywhere as long as they followed the rules/signs.

A finance bro starts a “cannabis” company and comes up with a product with more than just cannabis in it that is permanently damaging people’s livers and state does nothing for years. People are so conditioned now to blindly trust products labeled as “natural”. Lots of natural things are toxic.

If your other receiver has a phono input and a built in pre amp then that would work!

Col. Forbin US Space Force @colforbin.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

This is not a genie they can out back in the bottle very easy. Too many people making money and the state budget gap it would create would cause higher taxes and/or major services cut. What a stupid idea.

Discogs is a user created database of chaos. It is useful to a point but a shit show to use.

I haven’t been to close to this since I moved north. There can’t be any way this will pass right?!? The polling on this has to be terrible.

The discogs app is a huge help. In France they made a limited 1st press of Animals on pink vinyl and it is one of my biggest PF collecting grails. I will eventually add one to this collection lol. Every time I see on in good condition it’s over $200!

130

Col. Forbin US Space Force @colforbin.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

That is tricky. Probably dirty pots or an issue with the switch/knob. Or an issue with the internal preamp. A good vintage amp tech could probably get back to proper working order. If its not warped and you don’t see a lot of deep scratches or scuffs thats good. Cool find.

In Canada when they repressed them they transitioned away from custom label to standard Columbia label design. US copies stayed with the Dog label for whatever reason. Uhg. I am such a nerd about PF records lol.

And a close up pic of the text in bottom left corner of back of cover will have clues too sometimes those Canadian ones will also have a DM somewhere in the runouts too. But not always. Is it in good condition?

110

Col. Forbin US Space Force @colforbin.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

Just seeing this. This is a Canadian press. Probably a 1st press or a very very early repress. Does it have the dog label or a red Columbia label?

Also George Conway. I heard a story about the Lewinsky scandal and when they got the first tapes that bitch Trip secretly recorded of Monica they went to Conway’s because he was a deadhead tape collector and had equipment to play and copy the tapes.
