The fact it’s some of the last recordings of the incredible Clarence White makes it haunting to listen to. Such a great player.

Added this to the collection this weekend. A UK 1st press of Madcap. Beautiful condition. A really lucky find. I wonder how this thing ended up in rural New Hampshire? #vinylcommunity #nowspinning

The discogs app is a huge help. In France they made a limited 1st press of Animals on pink vinyl and it is one of my biggest PF collecting grails. I will eventually add one to this collection lol. Every time I see on in good condition it’s over $200!

Back in 2018 I took this pic while watching an NBA playoff game. They were doing a close up of the ref looking at the replay and this guy in Milwaukee was just flexing it for all the world to see.

Continuing the Dave Mason love this morning. This is a great album. Great sound and vibe. Another 70’s stone cold classic you can pick up for very little. Also a cool early multicolored vinyl release. #nowspinning #vinylcommunity

RIP Dave Mason. You were one of the great ones. This album is an unsung hero of the 1970’s double live album genre. You can pick it up cheaply and it’s chock full of great music. #vinylcommunity #nowspinning

Keeping the San Fran psych going this with this 1968 classic. “Come out Lyndon with hands held high drop you weapons baby you ain’t got a chance, send you back Texas to work on your ranch…” It always cracks me up how prominent Vanguard placed their name on this cover. #vinylcommunity #nowspinning

Moby Grape- 1967 self titled debut. Keeping the SanFran vibe going this morning. 1st press uncensored “middle finger” cover and poster.Considered so offensive the finger was airbrushed out of later copies. New find. 10 inch UK press from 1954. The record is NM. How does something like this survive 72 years and stay unmarked? It plays almost as quiet as a new 180 gram record. The music sounds so alive and present. #nowplaying #vinylcommunity

@bluenoterecords.bsky.social 87th birthday. Giving this a spin. The oldest BN in my collection. 1955 OG. 5th in the 1,500 series. It’s VG condition at best but it sounds absolutely beautiful. These heavy deep groove BN’s sound amazing. 75 yrs old and the music still sounds so alive. #vinylcommuniy

@nowspinning the brilliant Dick Gregory. Recorded live in 1969 at the height of the Vietnam War, the turmoil of the civil rights movement and assassinations, A.I.M, and the other social and political upheaval of the time. It is remarkable how relevant this is 56 years later. I am sitting here/1

Marble Phrogg 1969 1st pressing. One of the rarest grail’s of the psych era records. 1969 OG press. There were supposedly only 200+/- pressed and this one was the first I had ever seen. I think I may sell this copy. A serious psych collector should have this. #vinylcommunity #nowspinning
