Cola @colasante.bsky.social · 18hHave a terrible backlog growing of recent films I need to see, including Is God Is, The Furious, The Death of Robin Hood, The Brink of War, It Ends, Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma, Coyote vs. Acme, Late Fame, and The Uprising. Too many films, too little time. 😭 000
Cola @colasante.bsky.social · 18hLove seeing Guillermo del Toro stick up for his friend's film. #Digger 0136
Cola @colasante.bsky.social · 20hI've been SO confused every time I've seen Small Prophets marketed because it was announced as "created by and starring Mackenzie Crook", but I kept looking at photos of the lead, baffled at how Crook could look so different now. Turns out this is just a different actor entirely. I'm so dumb. 000
Cola @colasante.bsky.social · 22hJust need to get through today so I can see Digger a second time tomorrow. 000
Cola @colasante.bsky.social · 08/10/2026Three-player parties are ridiculous, especially when we were routinely ending up in matches that didn't even fill up with humans. They need to up the party limit ASAP. 000
Cola @colasante.bsky.social · 08/10/2026Yet another fascinating, must-read article, this time about the booming popularity of "microdramas," by the great Daniel Kolitz. It really is terrifying how rapidly people's brains are being cooked by their phones, it's actually worse than I ever imagined. www.nytimes.com/2026/10/06/m...nytimes.comSecret Billionaires, Mafia Brides, Alpha Kings: The Insane World of MicrodramasVertical soap operas for your phone have taken over film and TV production, and they may soon need no humans at all. 000

Cola @colasante.bsky.social · 06/10/2026Wow! Pretty shocking. This is shaping up to be a real season from hell for the Eagles. 000
Cola @colasante.bsky.social · 06/10/2026I hate falling for these viral bait prompts, but I couldn't resist putting together a My 9 Books list. 000
Cola @colasante.bsky.social · 06/10/2026Seated for the latest (196-minute long!) sure-to-be masterpiece from the great Ryusuke Hamaguchi. 010
Reposted by ColaMark Harris @markharris.bsky.social · 03/10/2026Seriously: Hate Digger all you want, but [pauses for flow of hate] movies like Digger are why we need studios. A world in which Digger doesn't get made one in which Sinners and One Battle also don't get made. You miss with Heaven's Gate and you still swung. You miss with Paw Patrol and you > 341188182
Cola @colasante.bsky.social · 05/10/2026Honestly can't stop thinking about Digger, especially Jesse Plemons' monologue. There's genuinely a lot to unpack in the film; for how obnoxious and obvious the satirical elements play at first, this ultimately reveals itself to be a layered, slippery narrative that defies snap judgments. 100
Cola @colasante.bsky.social · 05/10/2026Not sure how to feel about this yet. Clockwork has already assembled a great lineup of upcoming films (from Sean Baker, Park Chan-wook, Noah Baumbach, and Mary Bronstein) so I'm glad Skydance isn't killing them outright, but I also had hoped Clockwork might be able to spin off independently. 010
Cola @colasante.bsky.social · 05/10/2026Finally bit the bullet and put together a "My 9 Albums" list. 000

Cola @colasante.bsky.social · 05/10/2026So bummed to see Tyquan Thornton's ankle get broken so horrifically like that. He didn't work out with the Patriots but I always liked him and was glad he'd become such a vital part of the Chiefs' offense, now who knows what the rest of his future will hold. What a brutal sport. 000
Cola @colasante.bsky.social · 04/10/2026What a great opening drive from the Patriots. They DESPERATELY needed something like this after last week's disaster. 000
Cola @colasante.bsky.social · 04/10/2026I dug Digger. Don’t let the bad reviews deter you, see it and judge for yourself. If you’re on the fence about seeing it, one thing I might be able to say to sway you in its favor is that it has a lot more in common with Station Eleven than you ever would have thought from the marketing. 010
Cola @colasante.bsky.social · 02/10/2026With everything everywhere as bleak and hopeless as it is, I'm glad that we at least have Pope Leo. He gets it. 010
Cola @colasante.bsky.social · 01/10/2026Started watching The Crown for the first time recently. In season 3, one scene had Olivia Colman, Josh O'Connor, Tobias Menzies, Charles Dance, Erin Doherty, and Marion Bailey all in it. RIDICULOUS lineup of world-class acting talent, it's like an All-Pro team. What other show can roll that out? 010
Cola @colasante.bsky.social · 01/10/2026Could not possibly love Wemby more than I already do, yet he keeps giving me more reasons. The rare ethical hooper, on and off the court. 010
Cola @colasante.bsky.social · 01/10/2026Okay, everything I’m hearing about Mike Tomlin’s Minecraft world is incredibly endearing, I need to check out his walkthrough ASAP. 000

Cola @colasante.bsky.social · 29/09/2026I have to be honest, I am kind of baffled by how much praise Lanterns is getting. Aaron Pierre is great in it, and Kyle Chandler is good, but the writing is EASILY the worst of any Damon Lindelof TV show, the casting beyond the leads is horrible, and it looks cheap, like a slightly upscale CW show. 000
Cola @colasante.bsky.social · 28/09/2026Update: The History of Concrete is now finally playing in LA, but only in a single shoebox screen at the AMC Burbank 16, which is sold out every night after work during the only screening I can actually make. NOT COOL! I need to see this damn movie already! 010
