My (evidence-free) theory is that we'll eventually find out Animals was an AI guinea pig used by Affleck, to show how the tools can be integrated without audiences suspecting the writing/directing choices were dictated by AI, in order to boost the value of his startup. variety.com/2026/film/ne...

I've been SO confused every time I've seen Small Prophets marketed because it was announced as "created by and starring Mackenzie Crook", but I kept looking at photos of the lead, baffled at how Crook could look so different now. Turns out this is just a different actor entirely. I'm so dumb.

Honestly can't stop thinking about Digger, especially Jesse Plemons' monologue. There's genuinely a lot to unpack in the film; for how obnoxious and obvious the satirical elements play at first, this ultimately reveals itself to be a layered, slippery narrative that defies snap judgments.

Not sure how to feel about this yet. Clockwork has already assembled a great lineup of upcoming films (from Sean Baker, Park Chan-wook, Noah Baumbach, and Mary Bronstein) so I'm glad Skydance isn't killing them outright, but I also had hoped Clockwork might be able to spin off independently.

With everything everywhere as bleak and hopeless as it is, I'm glad that we at least have Pope Leo. He gets it.
"In this era of artificial intelligence, it is becoming urgent to distinguish human art from what machines produce. There is an ontological difference, even before an aesthetic one, between art and what a machine can generate through statistical calculation based on millions of images created by others. Algorithms lack the spark of humanity. For this reason, the Church wishes to renew an alliance with artists and cultural institutions to safeguard our humanity."

Loath to believe any "leaker"/news aggregator these days, but I so desperately NEED for this rumor to be proven true.
Rumor: LA Noire will have a sequel after GTA 6

- Set in San Francisco
- Story is about the Zodiac killer
- Likely coming in 2030
- Rockstar wants to take the face scanning to the next level

What gives this leaker credibility is that they managed to accurately describe GTA 6 mechanics back in 2023, such as the relationship and criminal profile and how they’ll affect the story.

The leaker also correctly stated that the game was supposed to have 4 protagonists (Rob Nelson confirmed this in recent previews).

‘Mary Poppins’ TV Series In The Works, Will Lean Into More Complex Elements Of Source Novels; Showrunners Being Approached — The Dish

The Mary Poppins of the novels is often noted for being more mysterious, mercurial and dangerous than her film incarnation, and the adventures in the books are magical, surreal and sometimes frightening.

Did ‘Misty Green’ Just Give Us Our Next Best Actress Winner?

Chris Rock's pitiless take on Hollywood's ability to crush souls works best as a showcase for its lead — a British actor who absolutely kills it.Slow Horses fanatics will recognize her as one of the veteran MI5 operatives stuck in the agency’s version of purgatory, known as Slough House. Consistent viewers of British imports on big and small screens — TV shows like Harlots, movies like Rose of Nevada and The Personal History of David Copperfield — have been clocking her work for years. Eleazar is one of the best “oh, it’s that person!” actors working just slightly above the radar. Rock’s now given her a prime showcase, a stage on which to rage. And dear god, does she make the most of it. That old-chestnut phrase “a star-making turn” has been trotted out way too often over the years. It accurately applies here.

‘The Family Stone’ Sequel Set At Searchlight With Claire Danes, Rachel McAdams, Sarah Jessica Parker & Many More Returning

Some exciting news heading into the holiday season: Searchlight has announced a sequel to the beloved 2005 holiday film The Family Stone, with nearly the entire cast returning.

This includes Claire Danes, Rachel McAdams, Dermot Mulroney, Craig T. Nelson, Sarah Jessica Parker, Luke Wilson, Tyrone Giordano, Elizabeth Reaser, Paul Schneider, and Brian White.

The one big exception is of course Diane Keaton, who passed away in October 2025 at the age of 79.

The new film, titled The Families Stone will seemingly pay loving tribute: It picks up 20 years after the death of her character, matriarch Sybil Stone — something that was depicted in the original film — as the Stone family again reunites for Christmas, only to face the season’s biggest surprise: their father (Nelson) has unexpectedly invited the woman he’s fallen in love with to meet the family.

John Mulaney Looking To ‘Get Smart’ At Warner Bros – The Dish

EXCLUSIVE: Talk about a dead ringer when it comes to casting: We’re getting word that 4x Emmy winner John Mulaney is eyeing to star in Warner Bros’ upcoming reimagining of Get Smart as wisenheimer agent Maxwell Smart.

The project is early in the works with Now You See Me: Now You Don’t scribe Seth Grahame-Smith penning the screenplay. Chuck Rovan and Andrew Lazar are producing.

The spy comedy TV series Get Smart was originally created by Mel Brooks and Buck Henry and ran from 1965-1970 for 138 episodes. The first four seasons aired on NBC, while the final season was shown on CBS. Get Smart was a spoof of the James Bond films. Don Adams starred as bumbling know-it-all agent Maxwell Smart (Agent 86) opposite Barbara Feldon (Agent 99) and Edward Platt who played the Chief. They work for a secret U.S. government counterintelligence agency called Control, which was in a constant battle with evil org, Kaos. While Smart always has the upper hand over Kaos, he was often incompetent. The series won seven Emmys including two for Outstanding Comedy Series.
