A potential bsky thread and/or blog post for another day, methinks. Even if it's well after the hype of this meme, it'd be fun.

LRPs, the breakdown I could write with how each of these animes and games influenced core aspects of my artwork and projects, though. I mean what is a deity's transformation magic if not a reimagined form of digivolution and magical-girl transformation? In addition to my Pokemon and Sanic OCs lol

Though if anyone wants the full breakdown with no restrictions (with my shoutout to Dragalia Lost, if I had room for it). Meanwhile I got into TLOZ a bit late so while I relate strongly with the series, it's a little less formative than my hours of frustration with finally beating Yoshi's Island--

I suppose I /should/ put Pokemon Diamond in the PKMN slot; it was during the 4th generation that I fully grasped the games' mechanics and got into it deep with my Pokemon OCs and OCTs. But Pokemon SWSH still holds such a special place in my heart and did well to rekindle my interest all over again.

And another one while I'm at it -- "The 9 Games That Shaped Who I Am" For better or worse, these video games were probably most influential on me growing up -- and even in more recent times -- with the collective hours I've spent playing and completing them all. #my9games // my9games.com/en/edit

SKDJFKSFSD Listen it's fully understandable-- I laugh too cuz I also watched Free well after I designed Set so the similarities with him and Rin were nothing new, but after watching??? "Okayyyyyyy I'm gonna add this shark boy to my chaos god's inspirations, retroactively--"

Omgsdkfjsfs I got into Free SO SO LATE LMAO I was following it vicariously during the peak of it's release hype, but when I finally watched it I was like "Oh................. yeah. Yeah I get it. This is actually peak--"

Honorable mention to Digimon Tamers. And shoutout to Un-GO and Magical DoReMi, I liked them v. much I just wouldn't consider them as shaping me. Also… is… Sonic X considered an anime? I nearly added it but tbph the games were more influential on me; the series just reinforced what I already played.

Finally lmao -- "The 9 Anime That Shaped Who I Am" I regret to inform you all that I was a late bloomer with anime TV series, and my formative ones kinda reflect that. They either age me severely or they feel too recent to be "formative," but it is what it is. #my9animes // my9animes.com/en/edit

Me taking that dialect language quiz going around and.................... I'm not upset by the result. Not an exact match, but the general area is close. I feel called tf out though /liSTEN--

Brief breakdowns for "Cities most & least like you" (mainly in the Southeast US), and "What gave you away." One of which being that I pronounce caramel with 3 syllables ("carra-mel").

ANCIENT GODS

A collection of art prints depicting the Egyptian deities

000

Teni (Casual Acct) @colacanvas.bsky.social · 10/06/2026

I've had this collection safely stored on my bookshelf since before moving into my home & have wanted to display them, but couldn't stand the idea of them getting damaged or punctured in any way. Framing them all would've been tedious, but magnetic signage frames + push pins was a good compromise!

Teni (Casual Acct) @colacanvas.bsky.social · 10/06/2026

Finally found time to start displaying my prints and wall art again. Starting with the collection I've been so precious about preserving for like... 3+ years KSDFJDSKFS-- These are all prints from Reyhan's Ancient Gods KS from a while back. I finally got the right material to display them properly!

[Genshin] In fairness I have a premium Lunar Bloom team (Nefer, Lauma, Columbina, Baizhu) that shreds through everything that doesn't resist Dendro But that team won't do me any favors with the two bosses I cannot stand who heavily require Natlan and perma-freeze teams now will it 🤪🤪🤪

010

Teni (Casual Acct) @colacanvas.bsky.social · 21/05/2026

Also lmfao why are both of the doctor's weekly boss forms "easier" to beat / not a goddamn headache?? I'd sooner fight his bosses ten times over than deal with that annoying abyssal dragon and the king & queen chess set with their stupid 1HKO attacks ever again (I cannot stand fighting them, uGH…)

Finally played thru Genshin's latest Archon quest -- 10 Acts in one version, jfc Nod Krai. It was very good but very, very long 😭 They /could/ have tightened bits of the dialogue without losing value in the storytelling, I feel. But I appreciated that they had visible save points to pause if needed

[HSR] Oops I lost track of my recent HSR summons ✨ Mainly because I haven't been keeping up with the story updates, and I'm low key just pulling for my favorites in niche metas (Superbreak and Follow-up). Genuinely don't know who I'll grab next lol--

Quickly sharing my haul from #Megacon2026! And from Universal for the AE figurine I snagged back there-- It was a fun time browsing Artist Alley and dealers' booths, and enjoying the theme park after-hours with my friend @littlescorpio.bsky.social (who was a lovely host this entire weekend) \o/!! 💕

A photo of multiple prints, charms, pins, plushies, and other items purchased from the Artist Alley and Dealers' booths of Megacon 2026 -- taken at a slight angle with a focus on the plushies (details in next image).

Another photo of multiple prints, charms, pins, plushies, and other items purchased from Megacon’s Artist Alley and Dealers' booths, taken from above.

Aside from the convention badges, it features a Scizor and Noibat plushie; various pins/charms/prints from Pokemon, Sonic, Genshin, and HSR; a pin of Ammit from Egyptian Mythology; and a closed box of a figurine from the Sahara Trades gift shop at Universal Studios (it's Anubis with scales, for anyone curious--)

I really do adore the logo for Gallade tho u ////// u ) They could have gone with the "official" art's pose but actually made it dynamic. Which is probably not easy with that donut in the way. (I'm a little surprised that the one for Gardevoir is more basic in comparison, but I like it too sjdfkfs)

001

Teni (Casual Acct) @colacanvas.bsky.social · 27/02/2026

Trying to mimic the pose of the real logo really highlights how "off model" I like to draw Gallade. And I'm not just referring to their donut-shaped hips (I refuse--).

Thank you!! And hahaha it was rough, but not as awful as I was dreading (I was a bit scared it'd break 4 digits, thankfully not this time;;;). Sad part is that his insurance likely won't cover it. I can weather the upfront cost for now, but may consider options to help offset it if I can o)9

Depending on what they share for the 30th anni, I may play it, because I enjoy the Legends gameplay loop more than the usual mainline. And I skipped SV b/c the marketed art style & gimmick bored me. I'll wait to see if Gen 10 wows me or if I'll just bide my time for the next installment of Legends.

010

Teni (Casual Acct) @colacanvas.bsky.social · 06/12/2025

It was hard enough to justify the $60 price tag for the Switch version (or $70 for Switch 2), but paying an additional $30 for something that should have been built-in feels a bit excessive. I also frankly haven't completely all the side missions or regular post game, so I'm not hurting for content

100

Teni (Casual Acct) @colacanvas.bsky.social · 06/12/2025

[PKMN-ZA] The more I think on it, the most likely I'll probably skip out on the upcoming DLC. At least, certainly not getting it day one if I do at all. I'm sure it will be fun, but as of now with the limited marketing, it just... feels like something that should have been a free-post game DLC.

[Genshin] /Well/... I had the strangest feeling this could happen when I saw Durin appear on the first pull of ten… and finally the last 😂 I guess I got a bit of a damage buff on top of his other benefits. [WIP // 10] -- Main account @tenicola.bsky.social Something I was trying to do with my angel character Zephyr (formerly Zephaniel) as like, an ambitious wing study, but I petered out midway before I even got to detailing the wings 😂 Maybe I'll attempt something like this another time...

WIP Screenshot of a very loose sketch of my OC Zephyr, who's unfurling his two pairs of angel wings. I got as far as attempting to line his face and hair before stopping.
