Setup: Local qwen3:8b on the tower (kai-desktop-tower,
RTX 2080) via Ollama, reached through the sanctioned
coily exec qwen-ask verb. Each retry is a fresh
one-shot prompt — no conversation history, no "you got
it wrong, fix X." Validation is done independently
with jq's Oniguruma engine against the canonical CLF
line and the 7 expected field values.
Prompt (identical each attempt):

Why attempt 1 failed: after the request group it had
"([^"]+)" \s+ — a literal space followed by \s+. That
requires two whitespace chars before the status code,
but CLF uses a single space, so the whole anchored
pattern missed.
Attempt 2 dropped the stray space ("([^"]+)"\s+) and
matched cleanly:
